We hired the 19 seater toyota coaster bus for 18 days family holiday over easter 2024 from James blonde. The vehicle looked a little rusty from outside but what's under the bonnet that mattered. The engine was very powerful with plentry of grunt, no issues going up steep hills and windy roads. There was a slight whining noise from the turbo at high revs but turned out to be a pleasant one for a car enthusiast as myself. One of the headlight bulbs burnt out during the latter part of our journey, got it replaced at the local mechanic, James Blonde were quick to reimburse the cost. I would use them again and recommend them highly. Cheers.

The level of service and care we received from Tracy when we needed to rent a vehicle at short notice was second to none.  We drove nearly 1200km in less than 4 days in the middle of the winter, over mountains and through the gorge and the vehicle never missed a beat. I highly recommend James Blond Rentals. In my books it is one of the best car rental company in Auckland, if not the only  - with reliable vehicles that suit my needs at very reasonable rates/deals. And the icing on the cake - nice, friendly and welcoming staff who are always a joy to deal with. Happy days.

Poor customer service. Do not rent from here.nnMy sister booked a truck over the weekend to use for their move. She didn’t realise they had to pay for every km used, as most rentals have a 5000km day limit. Annoying that she had to pay more but what was more disappointing is how they treated them when returning the truck. The lady was extremely rude and hostile.nnAlso, she was charged an extra $25 for gas for the tank not being full. Even though they filled up the tank across the road… apparently clicking fill is not enough, they want it filled past the clicking of the petrol machine which signals its full. Which is actually really dangerous to do… and how is anyone suppose to know that? The lady then said she clearly explained to them that this is what they needed to do when picking up the truck… but it was not the same lady they dealt with when picking up the truck.nnJust a money hungry business with terrible customer service. Do not recommend.
