Toyota Aqua - probably 10 years old - went well. Hybrid - so very efficient. Well priced. Enough space for 3 people and luggage at times. I’m tall so I found it a bit small as a driver as the seat didn’t go back quite enough. Good shuttle service - not much waiting though it wasn’t a busy time.

We recently hired a car from AutoUnion during our week in New Zealand and had a great experience. The booking process was smooth, the pickup and drop-off were quick, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The car was clean, comfortable, and reliable throughout our trip — perfect for exploring the North Islands.nnOverall, we were really happy with the service and would definitely use AutoUnion again next time we visit. Highly recommended!

Our rental experience this time was really disappointing.nFirst of all, we booked the car through Expedia, which was operated by Auto Union. However, the car we received was completely different from the one shown in the photos — the photo displayed a much newer model, while the actual car provided was clearly an older version.nnSecondly, the hygiene inside the car was extremely poor — the interior was dirty and had an unpleasant smell. In addition, the pickup was delayed by almost 50 minutes, which caused significant inconvenience to our family.nnUpdated on 7th of October.nnHow funny you said I didnt bring up these issues on the pick up day???!!! Who said to me on that day I can have a van instead!? Excuse me, I booked a Full Elite Velfire but getting a Van? And your vehicle's preparation job has not up to the scratch! You need to look into the issue and fix it up, instead of finding numerous an excuses!nnThank you for your following up reply! Will never go back to you Autounion car rentals.

Recently travelled back home to NZ and used AutoUnion and im absolutely thrilled to chuck em 5 stars.. easy booking process to excellent customer service with clean maintained assets…. Prices were low and transparent with no hidden costs…!nAn absolute high class experience with these guys AND tbh i have read their negative reviews as well all i can gather is people want the world on their cheap budgeting or they have never experienced renting a car so they end up chucking negative reviews to hide their own illiteracy….nI’d always knock on Autounion doors rather than any other known Car rentals…

Had a really good experience with auto union we received a free pickup and drop off service from the airport and a free phone holder when we requested for it. We got a relatively new Toyota aqua hybrid for our 5 day rental and it was perfect for us. Shoutout to Wasim and Zhu who helped us during our rental!
