I would like to give a big thank you to Hanos from the plumbing/kitchen department. He was extremely patient, very friendly, and genuinely helpful.nnHis product knowledge was excellent and he took the time to explain everything clearly and make sure we chose the right solution. He went above and beyond to help us, and thanks to him the whole experience was easy and stress-free.nnOutstanding customer service – people like Hanos make a real difference. Highly recommended!
I had a wonderful experience here today. I was buying a baby gate which didn’t fit inside the trolley, so I had to place it on top of the trolley. One of the workers Murray approached us and said he would help bring it to the car because it’s windy outside and I have precious cargo in the trolley my toddler. Anyway we lost Murray because I had to go get some other items but once we reached the checkout, the checkout lady told me to wait there so she could go find Murray to help me. It was just lovely customer service where you feel like people really care.
Today around 2:15pm–3:00pm, I had an unexpectedly poor experience at Mitre 10 Botany store while trying to price match a product.nnDespite the product clearly showing in stock online and available, the staff Aman Kumar claim to be the branch store manager made the process unnecessarily difficult, including insisting on calling another store to confirm stock availability, must be available with same-day collection. This resulted in us standing at the customer service counter for 30–45 minutes.nnNo apology was offered for the delay or inconvenience.nnThis was disappointing, as this is not how this store has operated in the past, staff have previously been helpful and efficient with price matching. To put this into perspective, I then went to another Mitre 10 Manukau branch, where the same purchase was completed in under 5 minutes without any issues Invoice 135-676-9xx.nnOverall, the experience fell well short of expectations and the service standard I associate with Mitre 10.
Calvin was incredibly helpful today when I picked up my repaired weed trimmer at Mitre 10 Mega Botany. He took the time to explain how to use it properly, and even helped me load all the items I bought into my car. Really appreciate his friendly and professional service!
Terrible experience buying a steam cleaner here. The product was locked on the shelf, and staff showed little interest in helping. At checkout, I finally managed to sign up for membership, but it was made out to be “a long process” when it was just name, number, and email.nnWhen I got home, I discovered the spider tag was still on the box. I called customer service and was told to just cut it — reassured the alarm wouldn’t go off. Of course, the moment I cut it, a loud continuous alarm started. The follow-up advice I got was to “poke a hole in it with a pin,” which left me feeling like a criminal for an item I had paid for.nnI then had to take the still-ringing alarm back to the store, embarrassed while people laughed and stared. It wasted my time, fuel, and energy, and even left my cat skittish for hours afterwards.nnThis isn’t just a mistake — it shows poor training and careless customer service. In hindsight, I should have gone to Kmart and bought the cheaper Anko version.
