I purchased a Ryobi 36v Post Hole Borer from Bunnings Silverdale 15 months ago. The battery just stopped working so I took it back today. The team were fantastic; they replaced the battery without a fuss. It’s the type of service that makes you want to come back. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Had a bit of an issue with a freestanding wardrobe. It's interesting how staff make or break a place. Two staff were great in helping to resolve our problem. One definitely didn't want to help at all.
I'm usually quite happy with the service at the store but today's interaction with the team was unprofessional. I picked a plant from a tray with a number of pots of the same size with a large sign advertising the price as $6.37. When I took it to checkout I discovered that the plant was selling for $18. When querying the discrepancy and after some back and forth with the staff member it turns out that the plant I picked was a 12cm plant and only 7cm plants sold for $6.37. However, all the pots that were on that tray with the $6.37 price tag were of the same size, so effectively not selling for the advertised price, unless one goes so far as to study the actual plant tag that had the size printed on it. I politely suggested to the staff member to change the sign as it was misleading. The staff member insisted that I should have checked the size on the plant's tag and even better, another staff member who was part of the conversation said quote 'It's only misleading if you don't read properly!' I suggest that Bunnings invest in some staff training that allows for a more appropriate response to a customer query than to essentially tell the customer that they're not smart enough to grasp their labelling system.
