Horrible experience as a daughter, trying to get post-op. info on my Dad. Phone calls first started three hours ago, and it has taken that long, with numerous calls, just to get some info. When I asked to get put through to a Manager, they put me through to a lady, who was at home, off work with Covid ‍.nnI would be put through to the wrong ward, or just simply hung up on. I know nursing ‘change-over hours are sacred, don’t you have a ward clerk?nnThey are short staffed, like every other hospital in NZ, which is no fault of the busy nurses. The problem for me is, that Dad has had post-op. complications, and is unwell, but I can't ring the ward and ask for information.

My surgery went flawless. Simon and Matt were professional, friendly & polite. The majority of nurses were so lovely I wish I could have stayed longer. I think it's worth noting that not everyone gets along in the real world & this environment applies also. I didnt get along with 2 nurses which was a real shame! But overall, it was a good experience. The food and coffee's were delicious. Great easy parking on site.

This hospital offers private facilities. My experience was faultless from reception to procedure. Staff friendly and professional.

I wish there is negative marking for services provided by nurse in care unit and ward at Ascot Greenlane. I would strongly suggest hospital to allow a family member for hospital stay as the level of service provided by nurse is useless. Literally zero care standard.

Absolutely amazing staff. Every single one of them. The nurses are wonderful especially Sheridan or Sheri as we called her. She is one of the best nurses I dealt with. Sharon is also a wonderful nurse. The surgeon Dr Segar is the best around and the anaesthetist as well. The best hospital I've stayed in. Big rooms, great food and lovely staff.
