Southern Cross Brightside Hospital, Auckland

Had the most pleasant overnight stay, this was my first surgery I was so nervous a big big hi-five to all the nurses who looked over me during my stay Thankyou all..nSpecial hi five to Lauren for making a late night snack for me I so appreciated that, and Poppy for over seeing my discharge.nThe food so good felt like I was in a hotel not a hospital.nDr Adam D Thankyou for sorting out my right shoulder you’re highly skilled and you gave me peace of mind.nAlso a big big big thank you to southern cross health insurance..nHighly highly recommended..

Total left hip replacement surgery required so was quite anxious in the build up to the big day. Hospital staff and surgical team were just amazing. The pre admission process provided advice and assurance. My surgeon and anaesthetist so caring, professional and expert before, during and post op. Woke up to a nice cup of tea from Rob! Then great food, care and attendance by a fantastic team including Stacey the physio, Morgan and Monica on radiology and Tina recovery, Cherry, Niamh, Jane, Edna, Brittany, Aya amazing!, Marilyn and Kahmee lovely…lovely! to name some of the fabulous crew. Thank you so much.

If I could add more stars I would. I had surgery two weeks ago and this has to be the best hospital I have ever been to. I have never had a surgery before and was very nervous but the nurses where so compassionate and lovely that all my worries went away. Once out of surgery the nurses had so much time for me. When I felt sick I would press the call button and they were in my room in what felt like two seconds. They helped me to the toilet when needed and just all around were there to help. If I ever need to have surgery again I would 1000000% chose Brightside. Thank you all for the best experience!nnP.S The food was amazing and there is free parking.

Truly wonderful staff. Everyone is extremely respectful and compassionate and nothing is too much trouble. The round the clock support and care is second to none, you know you are in good hands at any given moment! Family are treated like guests. The great food is an extra bonus. More like a hotel than a hospital!!
