Southern Cross Brightside Hospital, Auckland

Total left hip replacement surgery required so was quite anxious in the build up to the big day. Hospital staff and surgical team were just amazing. The pre admission process provided advice and assurance. My surgeon and anaesthetist so caring, professional and expert before, during and post op. Woke up to a nice cup of tea from Rob! Then great food, care and attendance by a fantastic team including Stacey the physio, Morgan and Monica on radiology and Tina recovery, Cherry, Niamh, Jane, Edna, Brittany, Aya amazing!, Marilyn and Kahmee lovely…lovely! to name some of the fabulous crew. Thank you so much.

Truly wonderful staff. Everyone is extremely respectful and compassionate and nothing is too much trouble. The round the clock support and care is second to none, you know you are in good hands at any given moment! Family are treated like guests. The great food is an extra bonus. More like a hotel than a hospital!!

A message of appreciation. June 21st 2024 was my 2nd visit to this hospital. The previous one was on January 21st 2011. My heartfelt gratitude and highest acclaim go to Assoc Professor Kamran Zargar , Anesthetic Stephen Lo and team for providing me with their excellent service on TURP. I recovered speedily without any adverse effects. Special thanks go to those nurses namely, Mandy, Sharmaine, Jas, Meera, Claire, Lata, Shiny and Molly, the receptionist. A big THANK YOU once again. If I could add more stars I would. I had surgery two weeks ago and this has to be the best hospital I have ever been to. I have never had a surgery before and was very nervous but the nurses where so compassionate and lovely that all my worries went away. Once out of surgery the nurses had so much time for me. When I felt sick I would press the call button and they were in my room in what felt like two seconds. They helped me to the toilet when needed and just all around were there to help. If I ever need to have surgery again I would 1000000% chose Brightside. Thank you all for the best experience!nnP.S The food was amazing and there is free parking.

Just got a minor procedure and stayed overnight. This was the BEST experience I'd ever had. If it was not for the procedure, I thought I was staying in a 5+ star hotel.nThe amenities are so nice, good selection menu, good staff, exceptional service. EVERYTHING was taken care of, more than everything actually, things that I did not think of would be taken care of also.nThanks to all the staff. Superb experience.
