Starship Children's Hospital

We went to the Children’s Emergency Department yesterday as our 11 year old son had fever, cough and terrible headache for 2 days. We weren’t expecting to be seen immediately and anticipated a long wait because of feedback from a friend and other reviews here. But we proved them wrong, as the registration was swiftly done and my son was checked by a Filipino nurse in a few minutes. Found out that we were giving him under-dose of paracetamol, and when she gave my son both paracetamol and ibuprofen, his headache was gone after a while. Then after sometime he was seen by an intern doctor, who evaluated his condition, then later the resident doctor Dr. Nina Su came to check him as well. We were made sure that it’s just viral illness, and we just need to ease his discomfort by giving him paracetamol or ibuprofen for his pains. That his coughing will soon subside in time.nVery friendly and caring service from all the staff there. We greatly appreciate it!

Big thanks to nurses and doctors at Surgery ward and ward 24B, Emergency department at Starships Hospital. My son had a appendicitis removal and they took care him and my self so smoothly right from the start. Thank you! You are our heroes!

Worst experience we have ever had at the Day Stay unitnJust thinking you putting a 5 month old baby life that was just about to have an operation into the hands of the most unprofessional reception and nursing teams is very concerning.nOur experience before and after should be a zero rating the 1 star is for one nurse that finally had some sense in trying to help us this after we had been forgotten againnDrs were ok but also very concerning but will not be discussed on a public form

I can't say enough good things about the staff at Starship's ED. We went there with my little boy as he had extremely high fever and a bad case of pneumonia. Everyone was super professional yet caring. They have really helped him. And can't forget to mention the amazing nursers! Thank you :
