Stayed here after coming in from a cruise. Easy to get to on the tram and right across from the train station. In fact our room had a view of the train station roof, not the most romantic but the location was convenient. The room was clean and big, the bed firm how we like it. The bathroom was definitely our aesthetic, and the shower head and water pressure great. Hotel itself is clean, old world but with new modern aesthetic.
Great place to stay for your business trip. The location is minutes away from popular locations. The rooms are clean and quiet, and you can use the desk if you need to work meetings or just use your laptop. The breakfast is rich and you have many options to choose from. There is even a small gym if you're up to a workout.
Very nice hotel, friendly and professional staff. Decor is great. Restaurant has amazing food in both presentation and taste. Cocktails are delicious and the staff are very skilful and knowledgeable. Excellent location for travellers needing to be near Southern Cross station.
We enjoyed our time here. Staff were lovely and I believe this makes a huge difference. Check in was easy and the kind staff treated my daughter with a bag of candy to welcome her and celebrate school holidays. Pre-drinks at the bar were unique and delicious. Was able to walk to the queen vic market and get around from this location so easily. I do recommend this hotel for a hassle free getaway.
Great location! The room is small. I do find it quite dark even with the lights on. The hotel does not offer amenities. The bathroom requires maintenance cracked tiles, weak shower head. Rust/stains around toilet area.Rooms: 3/5
Went for a staycation and really enjoyed the convenient locations. Hotel premises and room were very clean although the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Breakfast was really lovely, didn’t get to try their restaurant but heard wonderful things. Can’t give 5 stars because staff most of them were quite unhelpful and with this “can’t be bothered to be here” attitude
Exceptional and stunning rooms with wonderful staff ready to give instrumental advice and perspective on the area. Particularly, Bradd was an absolute gem. His knowledge and customer service were impeccable, with great attention to detail accompanied by fluid and insightful banter and conversation. Noteworthy details: Bradd the reception staff.
Lovely stay at Savoy. Beautiful Art Deco stylings tastefully done. Large rooms with ensuite was perfect for us Breakfast was full of options, and food was mostly good. Scrambled eggs a bit dicey!
This is a very fine hotel and I would definitely stay here again. The room was a good size, minimalist but stylish decor, and ultimately very pleasant. The hotel is well located next to Southern Cross Station, and is walking distance to eg Bourke St mall. No complaints and I felt it represented pretty good value for money.Rooms: 5/5
Stayed here on 3rd of June. I checked in at night so I didn’t see this straight away, but after waking up I was disgusted to find nail clippings and a dirty sock next to the bed ! How on earth was this not cleaned ? It’s absolutely disgusting. Straight away I went down to reception and the man firstly had no clue what I was saying… then he was saying well why didn’t you see it when you check in ? After I told him I checked in late at night he kept asking me as if it’s my fault that someone’s nail clippings and dirty sock was left in the room. I work at reception at Hyatt, and I understand sometimes other departments don’t do their job, however when something like this happens the least you can do is be apologetic no ?? Please see pictures below…. Disgusting…
