Check into the Yarra Suite and you’re not just checking into a hotel room—you’re surrendering yourself to a glass-walled fever dream 30 stories above Melbourne’s twitching concrete soul. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer a godlike view of the Yarra River and the city’s glimmering sprawl—perfect for watching the world burn while you lounge in a plush robe, drinking duty-free bourbon straight from the bottle and questioning your life choices.nnThe suite itself is a cathedral of decadence. A bed big enough to lose your moral compass in. A soaking tub where you can marinate your sins with a bottle of red and a stranger you barely remember inviting up from the lobby bar. The living area is sleek, minimalist, and begging to be littered with empty glasses, scattered room service trays, and the remnants of a night you’ll either never forget or never recall.nnAnd then there’s the Pacific Club Lounge—a velvet-roped Valhalla where you can mainline Champagne and gouge yourself on canapés with the other beautiful lost souls. Breakfasts are served like offerings to gods who haven’t slept. Evenings blur into a cocktail-soaked haze, punctuated only by the occasional regret and one too many shrimp skewers.nnYou don’t just stay in the Yarra Suite. You live fast in it. You spiral, ascend, indulge, and emerge half-sane, half-naked, and wholly changed. It’s not a hotel experience—it’s a decadent, five-star meltdown. Bring a toothbrush, a strong liver, and leave your conscience at the valet.
Stayed in a large club room which was delightful and quite modern. Amenities were great and concierge was very prompt with providing anything not already in the room such as bath salts. View was fantastic too. Buffet breakfast was decent and had enough variety to keep things fresh each day. The food and drink in the club lounge was also quite a highlight, with even more variety than breakfast and a little bit of a fancier touch. Location is also great, being right across from a big DFO.
The 2 bed apartment was pretty good but as there were 4 of us, a 2 seater could have is a bit inadequate. The bathrooms are very nice and beds very comfortable.nDinner was very nice but service was missing and mistakes were made. At one point I had to wave my menu in the air for a minute or so for someone to come and take a drinks order.nBreakfast had diversity but to be frank at the prices that are charged it was underwhelming and everything was cold. The coffee was very good though.nThe chap handing out champagne in reception while we queued to check in looked like he needed assistance. He hadn't been provided enough glasses so had to keep rushing to kitchen to rewash the glasses.nIf I had to pay the $1300 for the night including dinner and parking as opposed to using rewards I would have been very unhappy with what I got. It's 4 star quality. But that's Australia for you. As others have said the value for money only comes when you go to Asia.
I'm thoroughly enchanted with this stunning hotel! From the moment you step inside, the warm atmosphere and genuinely friendly staff make you feel right at home. Every interaction, from the front desk to the housekeeping team, is met with a welcoming smile.nnThe hotel's impeccable cleanliness is evident throughout, with a beautiful scent wafting through the entryway. Our modern room boasted breathtaking views, ample space, and a sleek bathroom. The bed? Absolutely divine – the most comfortable I've ever slept on!nnThe culinary experience was equally impressive, with delicious food and exceptional coffee. This hotel has earned a top spot on my list of favorites, and I'd love to experience their hospitality in other locations worldwide. Highly, highly recommended!nnThank you for an amazing stay!
Lots to recommend - I managed to walk here from the main train station- so that’s a plus. Spacious rooms and sparkling clean. All staff were delightful- especially when I realised I left the key in the room. Super quiet and a nice view of the ferris wheel and river. Elena at the cafe attached makes a fine coffee. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.
