Thrifty Car & Truck Rental Brisbane Airport

What a great team here. Nothing is a problem. They even mailed me some items I forgot. My car is always ready on time and cleaned professionally. The bodywork of the vehicle is always in very good order and only occasionally there is a scratch but it has been noted already. When returning my vehicle there is always a very pleasant ending to my trip. I always look forward to my next hire.

Caitlin reassured us she would price match our existing reservation that we emailed her as her computer was appearing with a significantly higher price. We made it clear to Caitlin that WE WOULD NOT rent/hire the car if the significantly higher amount was being charged, she promised us it would be the amount our reservation stated that would be charged. With no reply from Caitlin she charged our card the significantly higher amount - which exceeded the pre-auth of $200.00, which is in Breach Of Thrifty T&C’s. When we questioned the excessive overcharge we received a reply “this has been matched and closed”, very blunt & abrupt. Caitlin was lovely when we were collecting the rental which now displays to us that she purely just wanted the sale. Terrible customer service and only interested in making the sale. DO NOT RENT/HIRE from this company.

Booked with vroom. All good. Rember to check and photo your renter before you drive off. Report any marks and dings to the staff. My car had a bit of damage not on the condition report. Pointed it out and thrifty marked it down no worries. Easy. Cheap. Nice car. Thanks

Didn’t get the car we ordered . Reminded that we were an hour late ‘but no problem’. Yes we were late because the flight was delayed . There’s a reason why we put flight details in the form. Refundable bond was an immediate charge to my account rather than ‘blocking’ the amount. Refund back to account minimum 5 days. No one answers the phone . Workaround was to call the car booking option which was answered within 20 seconds .

Easy pick up and drop off at the airport. Didn't know the desk inside the airport closes in the evening so an email with after hours directions would have been helpful. All in all, a good experience.
