By far the cheapest rental company for good quality cars. The staff are super friendly too. I can also confirm that the insurance policy is great. I was involved in a "little" crash which involved a second party. Fortunately the insurance coverage i chose took care of my damages, as well as the other persons. Will always hire vehicles from this company. 

They also provide complimentary airport pickups (during office opening hours).

Amazing crew! Highly highly recommend.  Vehicles are clean, efficient and great value. Thank you so much to the team... excellent service... very happy and will be using again!!

I should have written this closer to the time I used their service but forgot.  I had the best experience with these guys.  My Aussie bank card kept saying declined (a fault at that time with Comm bank) even though there were thousands in there.  I logged on to my phone and showed them I had the funds as well as called comm bank on speaker phone to have a whinge in front of them and NZ Discount Car rentals went above and beyond.  They were very sympathetic to my plight although they offered to allow me to leave and pay upon return (I had a debit mastercard and they had those details along with my drivers licences from NZ and Australia) I managed to get my Mum to pay on her credit card and paid her back instead.  I highly recommend these guys. Don't wait in a line at the airport for a hire car you will pay a lot more for and have to queue.  Exit customs, give them a call and they will be there waiting for you.  I'll never use anyone else again.

IMHO this is the best value car rental service in NZ. Manager Jo and her small team run a bunch of well-maintained, higher-mileage cars which are as good as anyone needs for rentals. Best of all they give excellent service.

LOVE THESE GUYS! best car rental in Auckland. Value for money with their cars and great friendly and helpful service offered by the staff. They are about 5 minutes drive from Auckland airport  but have a shuttle that picks you and drops you off. 

Their opening hours are a little limited, but seems to be the way in Auckland,  and during peak periods they rent out quick so it pays to book well in advance if you are planning a trip.
