Booked car at Rotorua A/P in September. First class booking service and was very surprised to see not only a good service counter at at the airport but also that the car was in a designated area immediately behind the terminal. many other car rentals ferry you to another depot quick often some distance from the airport and it all takes time!. However RaD provided excellent booking in and access to the car - all under 5 minutes! Same upon return, just parked in RaD's space and 'booking in' was a dream. Car was not new but was very well serviced and handled like a dream. Thanks! Will definitely use the RaD service and network again.
We had a really poor experience with RaD cars. During the hire we used a toll road, we then paid for the toll road on the day of. Then 3 weeks later RaD cars charged us a penalty for not paying and telling us to do the follow up with NZTA. Really poor customer experience for us and suprising they don't have a simple process of checking when you drop the car off like every other rental we've ever had.
Friendly staff, good service. The car was clean and reliable - an older model as it was cheaper but it did exactly what I wanted. These guys went the extra mile when they found a book we'd left behind by mistake. Many thanks - recommend to all.
Great price, super efficient pick-up and drop-off, good quality car that was everything we needed for five days travelling around Auckland and surrounds. Will go to RaD for our next rental without hesitation.
Excellent transfers to & from airport. The vehicle [10 years old and with 211,000km on the clock] met all of our needs during our holiday. It did have a vibration in the steering at 100kmh, and reverse was sometimes difficult to select, but apart from those two things, it was just fine.
Awesome experience. We paid a little more for the Nil excess, and for a newer vehicle. We were delighted by our Rav4. Everything RaD did was efficient, from the Airport pickup through to Airport drop off. We will be a return customer. Thanks RaD, you helped make our holiday.
RAD, is a rent a car company we hired a car from not knowing the locking system for the entire car including the boot was out of order.We had to take our luggage with us when leaving our accommodation and head off for an AM, shopping trip before leaving Auckland, bags in tow ,very inconvenient and stressful .we paid full interance on a vehicle that should not of been on the road in the first instance.On returning the car we explained what we had found and we were not able to get our insurance coverage returned in full which personnel y I found appalling customer service. We would give RAD 0 out of 10 rating and will most definitely not recomend the company to anyone, nore use there company in the future.
