So how it works is you choose a car from our yard and rent it for a minimum of six months up to 12 months at a fixed price. At the end of the 12 months you can renew the rental.

Payments vary from $100 per week depending on the car and the amount of months. There are a range of cars, i.e. holden, toyota, nissan, mazda, hyundai, mitsubishi.. etc.

You must have restricted or full licence and minimum of $500 bond which is fully refundable at the end of the contract.

If you are on learners the only way we can help is if you can get someone with restricted or full licence to sign on as the driver and we can note you down as the hirer, this means at the end of the three years the car will still be transferred over to you however the person with the licence is the one authorised to drive till you gain your own licence then we can add you as the driver as well.

All our cars will come with FREE registration, FREE certification of fitness, FREE repairs, FREE roadside assistance and FREE insurance, we cover it ALL.

**** BEWARE - THESE GUYS CAN RUIN YOUR HOLIDAY ****
Firstly, I rang to check whether they had a van in which I can sleep. I explained that I am over 6 feet tall, and needed a van in which the seats fold down to create a flat surface, with no ridges, bumps or slopes. I was assured - twice - that they had this and to write it down in my booking request to reserve it. I did this -then checked again a week later to ensure it was reserved, which was confirmed.
Upon arrival at Auckland, a car arrived to pick me up - which I had to pay for - with no sign or advertising, so I wandered around for half an hour looking for them. We then went to Domestic, back to International and then again to Domestic - looking for other hirers, not knowing where they were arriving from or who they were, ie a couple, two females, one person etc. Of course, we had no sign -so they couldnt find us either - so we spent 45 mins screaming randomly at people "are you looking for quality car rentals" - and I reiterate, 'we' - as the two ladies we were with were too timid and as it was late, I began screaming at people. What a joke!
Of course, upon finally arriving at the Car Yard, they showed me my car - a boot space of about a metre!!. Upon asking "where do I sleep?" Shalni with a look of shame pointed at the boot "there. Well, sometimes small girls sleep in it". This is at 9pm, after having it confirmed three times that a man of over 6 foot could sleep in a space where the seats folded down into a smooth and even surface - here, the seats wouldn't fold down at all!! I made such a fuss that I was offered another car - and after checking them all, I found one where the seats folded down but onto a ridged, sloping, bumpy surface. I had no choice - I accepted it and slept terribly for a month, awaking numerous times through the night and getting up sore and stiff - though I guess it was lucky that it was there, for I wouldn't have slept at all in the others.
The clincher! When I returned the car, the bank terminal 'conveniently' rejected the refund of my $500 bond, stating that the daily limit had been reached. As it was after hours and I had a plane to catch, I was promised an EFT the next day. You guessed it - I chased the refund for two months, they repeatedly promised it "tomorrow" or "this afternoon" and even told me twice "yes, its been transferred". It was never done - I had to get my bank to chase it as a disputed/fraudulent transaction, and eventually my bank refunded as they couldn't get a response from them and I am a valued customer. If I didn't have some heft and influence - I would have lost the $500 too.
After all this, i think I can safely say that QUALITY CAR RENTALS ARE A NEGLIGENT, DECEITFUL BUNCH OF FRAUDS WHO COULD EASILY RUIN YOUR HOLIDAY.****** STAY WELL CLEAR OF THEM****

I have had a really good experience with these guys. Hired cars from them numerous times in Christchurch, and also a couple of times in Wellington. Really affordable, especially when you compare their prices to other car rental places around NZ. Out of 8 times I have hired with them, I've only had 1 bad customer service experience which in the grand scheme of things was just down to someone having a bad day. It was just a woman giving me a bit of attitude, but we got past it and everyone was happy in the end. I can also recall on this same occasion that I was unsure about the car I had hired (as the engine light kept coming on).  I just rang them back in CHCH and he said bring it in so he can have a look, but by the time I got there he said We will do a swap and I will give you a new one. So he brought out an awesome upgrade (newer model, and bigger car) at no extra cost and extended the return time for me. Which was brilliant!  I would most certainly recommend hiring with them, especially if you are in Christchurch. I have had the best experience with them there, and now they are my only choice when needing to choose a car rental company. It is a relatively small fleet in comparison to other companies around NZ, but for me I have found that the service is quite personalized, very relaxed and they are always willing to help.
