BEWARE, this is NOT a professional car rental co, we got a beat up car, with 1/2 tank of gas, told we will need to pay an extra $25 for early drop off! We took the car in spite of the additional charge AND the dirty, scratched, smoke filled stinky car. I’ll be posting again if we encounter any additional problems AND will be contacting my credit card company if there are any other issues

Quick pickup and return to airport for us.  Value for money and modern small car. Rav was helpful and polite. $2000 debit  purchase authorisation  for excess was cancelled 5 days after drop off. Make sure you get and keep receipts.

Found through an aggregator site, so I didn't see the reviews or I would've known better. I didn't realize you have call the "shuttle" (just some guy) and took an hour for me figure out how to do that. There's an extra charge for using a credit card that you don't find out about when you book online. Despite allowing people to book for return early in the morning, they aren't actually open then, so you either have to drop it off early, drop it off and take a taxi to the airport (without knowing if they are going to charge you anything extra or not), or call ahead to arrange dropping it off for an extra charge. The car I got was rather disappointing, but functional, though it was covered in dings and the brakes were squealing. Two stars instead of one since they were fairly nice and I haven't returned it yet, so I don't know if they're going to charge me for the prior damage like they seem to have done to others.

The vehicle was fine, we rented a Kia Sportage that was in good condition. Rau helped us a lot.

This place is a scam, booked though an outside company.  Tried to charge me 900 NZD for a lost key.  When I refused to pay they brought it down to 300 NZD.  They could not provide me with any kind of documentation for the charges.  Filed a complaint with my credit card company.  They had 2 months dispute my complaint and didn't.  After I got a letter in the mail saying I would not be held accountable for the charges the rental company sent me an email asking to cancel my complaint with the credit card company. Not in a million years!

Edit: Owner will harass you though emails because he was unable to provide documentation on time.  I'm also going to file a complaint with Holiday Cars
