Melbourne Museum is an absolute gem! We visited after lunch with my son, and even in just a few hours, we had an incredible time. This is a place where kids and adults! can learn so much in a fun and engaging way — you could easily spend a full day exploring.nnThe dinosaur exhibition was a highlight for us, packed with fascinating displays and information that really capture children’s curiosity. We also loved the insect area, which was both educational and surprisingly fun to explore. Everything is well-presented, interactive, and perfect for sparking young minds.nnAdults tickets are $15, and kids go free, making it fantastic value for families. I recommend booking online to avoid the queues. We’ll definitely be back for a full-day visit next time!
Loved this museum! There was so much information to take in and lots to look at, I was thrilled to see the most complete Triceratops skeleton in the world too.nA staff member gave us even more exciting info about some of the fossils and exhibits we were looking at.nI definitely recommend this place, take the family along!
A wonderful time for all ages! Such an informative and interactive museum, and the kindest staff ever. The displays are so in depth, well crafted and maintained fantastically. Could not have asked for a better experience!
Melbourne Museum is a fantastic destination for families and curious minds alike. The natural history exhibits are captivating, especially the awe-inspiring dinosaur displays that bring prehistoric giants to life. Kids will absolutely love the Children’s Gallery. A vibrant, hands-on play area designed to spark imagination and exploration. It’s the perfect blend of education and fun, making every visit both enriching and exciting.nnPurchase tickets in advance and skip the queue!
A great place to visit for the whole or half a day. Very family friendly and definitely a great choice to visit if you have a child. Lots to learn and experience, especially in the kids area of the museum. You will need to select a time slot and get to spend an hour in the designated area.nnSo much sensory and learning opportunities available and your little one most likely can spend days there and still be entertained.nnIt's a short walk from the free city tram zone which makes it an attractive option if you want to spend half a day here.nnThoroughly impressed with what's available for the kids, but it's also a great place for adults to appreciate history and be reminded of the childhood memories and joys of learning again!
