Room was clean and tidy but bathrooms were a bit dated. The staff were excellent. Lots of transport options so location is not an issue with the Melbourne trams. The stops near the hotel are part of the free tram service. The buffet breakfast had all the hot and cold choices you would expect and the quality was excellent. Will definitely go back.
They don't mention about the $35 a day car park fee, also room wasn't ready till 2pm and my family with kids had to wait in the foyer didn't offer to store bags, do not recommend, update after waiting 20 minutes at the front desk to get access to our "cleaned" room there was uses tissues littered all over the main bedroom and the previous guests make up kit and blood in the toilet. Staff couldn't care less.
Cleanliness is not priority based on our experience. Although, we got a good rate through the Mystery Hotel scheme it doesn't mean the cleanliness is compromised. At first look, the 2 bedroom apartment corner room and high floor looks good and tidy. Once we started using the facilities, we found couple of fake lashes on the bathroom shelf, side tables and furnitures are dusty, took more than 10 minutes for the water to warm up some days it is just ice cold!, carpet in the living room has white droppings. We brought these issues to their attention and been advised they will give the apartment a good clean. When we got back, we know they've been in there but it didn't seem like they have cleaned at all except for the bed sloppily made and the bin liners sloppily put in - everything else remained the same. We used the bathroom with the bath tub for the kids and found a pubic hair!!!! Soooooo horrible!! It has really put a dampen and ruined the mood of our stay. We didn't bother letting them know this time because we are sure they would've done the same exact thing they did the day before. Our other friends stayed here as well and they didn't have issues with cleanliness however, they've had issues with the heating being too hot 26 degrees in side the apartment. They asked if they can adjust the temperature as it is too hot, they've been advised - NO. The location is pretty good, well equipped room, close to the museum, shops, restaurants. I appreciate birthday gesture, it's just a shame they can't keep it clean to standards.
My husband was staying in a nearby Hospital and the Mantra was the nearest Hotel for visiting and peace of mind. I didn’t spend much time at the Mantra but was so pleased to return to a homely room to relax. The reception staff were outstanding. Sabrina took such good care of me as I was on my own. I was very pleased to receive a cold glass of water on return on the 43 degree day heat when she noticed me returning! Can not fault the service and care.
The staff were very professional and hospitable. The facilities including the pool was very nice but too cold. The room was very nice but the double couch was very uncomfortable. The single couch and beds were very comfortable and a dream to sleep on. The full kitchen was also handy to have. It was nice to have 2 bathrooms in our 2 bed room but would've been good to have a tv in one of the bedrooms for the kids as well. The text messages saying that "the hotel is looking forward to welcoming us" and "wishing us a safe journey after check out" was very warm, welcoming and nice to receive.
It ain't the Ritz but it's great. The staff made our week Melbourne better. Helpful front desk, casual Easy housekeeping. The place is not new but is real and friendly. Did not like to see night before staff working the next shift in the morning.. even though they did it well..
Room wasn't clean when we checked in, dirty tissues and toilet. No one cleaned room for 3 days. Had to get towels ourselves. Aircon was cold. Should tell you parking will cost you $35 a day, not on website, guy on counter said ..yeah, we should put that on there. Double glazed windows would be good to stop noise, and maybe blinds to cut out lights at night Very ordinary service
No free wifi - no free parking - old looking two bed room apartment that could use some maintenance. Be weary of these before you book. This should really be complimentary standard service for any big hotel chains. Does not feel like a 4 star hotel. Overall could have been a better experience although the staff and employees have exceptional customer service! Mantra as management needs to do better though.
The rooms are spacious. Rates reasonable. The beds are comfortable commercial Sealy pillowtops which are excellent if you need support. Nice staff. Decent kitchen. Sure, its not high end but its decent and close to plenty of great locations. Lots of cable sports if you enjoy it, which my husband did. My husband and I have been here 4 nights and will definitely come back. Thankyou Mantra on the Park. You've been great.
Pretty good apartments. There is literally everything you will ever need electric iron, washing machine, a full size kitchen, dining table and other usual stuff. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and top class. Wifi is free. Breakfast is awesome. View is fantastic. Location is great. enjoyed my time here.
