I hired a car at Hertz Sydney airport.The car condition was good but  when I return the car I forgot my make up bag in the car. I contacted the lost property apartment. The call always go to voice mail boxes. And after 2 days finally someone contacted me but they said noting has been found in the car. And after that call no more important or fllow up, I feel is very the service response very slow and didn’t give client enough attention. At the end I didn’t found my bag:(((Won’t recommend rent car from Hertz.

Good & friendly staff. However, improvement is needed to prevent billing error. I returned the car with full tank, Hertz's employee checked and gave me the thumbs up before I left.  But I was billed for petrol & services.  Hertz claimed that I did not return the car with full tank and asked for refuelling receipt. 
The online reviews prompted me to take photos of the car dashboard showing the mileage / fuel indicator when I returned the car, which I did.
I sent Hertz photos of the car dashboard showing the mileage and fuel tank at Full.  
Hertz corrected the bill.

Please be aware of dishonest trading. Unfortunately I have had a bad experience with Hertz. I have rented other vehicles in the past with reputable companies, having no bad experiences, so this comes as a bit of a surprise. On the day of returning the vehicle I filled the fuel tank at a service station bordering Sydney airport, as it is standard practise and parked in the allocated parking next to the collection office, as per the instruction. A week later I noticed that my credit card statement reflected a charge of approximately $40 deducted from my deposit. I enquired with Hertz, who informed that the charge was for a 'locating' fee and a 'fuel and service' fee. I explained that there had been a mistake as the car was refuelled and parked correctly. The customer service representative was quite rude and patronising and did not want to engage in much conversation nor give an explanation. I highly doubt I will be refunded and recommend travellers to use other companies like Thrifty or Europe Car who have been excellent in the past. It seems I am not alone as there have been other disgruntled customers who share the same experience. I would urge others to give Hertz a wide berth being aware this of this dishonest practice.

The supervisor/manager I dealt with here yesterday is probably one of the worst human beings I have ever met. Wow. Hidden fees, scamming, etc. I rent from Hertz locations all accross Aus, 10-20 cars per year and this is by far the worst.

I hate how they keep you on hold and wont answer the phone then hang up on you .i got a discount code from AAMI insurance after my car was hit and needed an replacement , they transferred me and then hung up and now im back on hold such a waste of time
