AVIS at Sydney Domestic Airport rented me a car for 2 months. The staff at pickup and drop off were extremely professional and efficient. The process was a smooth one and whenever I called them to ask a question they answer the call promptly and were able to provide answers in a reasonable time. I highly recommend using this rental company. Great choice of vehicles.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with the staff when returning my car. I was made to feel like a criminal for simply trying to enter the return area.nnI initially asked a staff member if I could leave the car in the adjacent parking spots near the car wash, as the return bays were full. His only response was a curt and intimidating “Drive forward,” delivered with a harsh tone and a menacing look.nnAs I moved forward, no one offered any assistance or confirmed where I should leave the car. Instead, I was met with silent, uncomfortable stares from several staff members. Even those standing right next to my car—who were inspecting another vehicle—clearly noticed me waiting, yet said nothing and continued to just stare.nnFeeling completely ignored and unwelcome, I got out of the car, left the key, and began to walk away. Only then did a staff member finally approach me to ask whether I had left the key and refueled the car, which I had.nnIf this is the standard of customer service from one of the industry’s leading car rental companies, it’s honestly appalling. This experience left a genuinely bad impression, and I hope steps are taken to improve how customers are treated.

I previously left a negative review because my lost phone wasn’t found, despite tracking its location to the rental car park. However, a few days later, Carl reached out and patiently helped search for it. Then, Ryan followed up, informing me that he had found my phone and was sending it via express post.nnRyan went above and beyond, handling the situation with professionalism and genuine apologies. I truly appreciate their efforts. I was considering canceling my Avis Preferred membership, but thanks to their excellent service, I’ll be keeping it for future rentals.nnLooking forward to receiving my phone—thank you, Carl and Ryan!

Packed the car with a whole family's luggage, took off and the key battery warning light came on.nnThe worker at the exit gate was very helpful, however the Avis worker at the office could not give a stiff.  They failed to acknowledge the inconvenience, did not offer an apology and did not offer anything to make up for wasting my time.nnWorst of all they refused to look me in the eye. When I asked for their name they reacted with asking me why. I explained I wanted to make a complaint about their servicennAt this point a worker on the adjacent computer intervened and arranged a replacement ASAP.nn40 minutes out of day one of my family's holiday and now I have to unload and reload the cars.nnObviously vehicles are not maintained or inspected as the original car had a 10cm hole about 5cm deep where the heal of the brake foot sits, and the key FOB was going flat.nnSo much for day one of a four day rental.nnRude, poor service from Hanif and a crap vehicle.

I have had to return vehicles rented for work on several occasions.nnThey have a great system for sorting vehicles being returned and an efficient method to process a vehicle.nnThere is a BP fuel station next door,  so you can top-up the vehicle prior to returning it.nnThere is a shuttle service to the airport where you can transfer to taxi, public transport or rideshare.
