In the midst of renovations (both in the house we just sold, and the one we've just bought) we find ourselves coming here a bit. I don't think I've ever received good customer service in this store. On my most recent visit the store was nearly empty and there were two attendants. I was loitering around waiting for service but didn't seem to get any. I even tried saying to my daughter (abnormally loudly so they could overhear) that I was "waiting for someone to serve me". Still, I had to go to the counter to get help. I'm beginning to think that their policy is not to provide assistance unless customers come to the counter and ask for it. However if that's the case then a sign somewhere letting you know could be helpful. Definitely a contrast to the North Parramatta store, where we were immediately greeted by an attendant as soon as we walked in the door. In my most recent purchase I have called around to a number of different Beacon Lighting stores to get quotes, this one provided the highest price out of all of them - by a good margin. If you specifically want a Beacon Lighting product, call the Campbelltown store; I'm not sure if it was a one-off, however their quote was almost 10% cheaper (and that's cheaper than a discounted price) and they added free home delivery the day after it arrives in their store from the warehouse (and maybe even the same day, depending on what time it arrives).

Very Poor - no customer service. Staff are happy to stand up at the counter and chat among themselves on a Sunday rather than actually go up to customers who are clearly interested in purchasing. Not to worry - Cosmo lighting up the road got my $138 instead.

I've been going to beacon lighting usually out of convenience. This was the second time I went in looking at lighting 4 bedrooms and a living room. No one approached me, I went to the counter and the lady didn't look up to me I had to say hello twice. When I took her to the two lights I was looking at she read off the tag then looked at me. I asked which pendant gives off more light and she replied well they're two different lights one is halogen and one is LED. I couldn't get her to answer the question. When I approached the counter to ask about purchasing a pendant she said they didn't have stock, so I asked her if I could get it online she checked and said no. Then went back to her work. Poor customer service, poor product knowledge. And a lost sale.
