Great experience exchanging a lower spec model of a vacuum cleaner with a higher spec model for the same price. We bought the lower spec model without knowing that the higher spec model went on special the same day. The salesperson also didn't know. The store manager was really helpful in arranging the exchange when the situation was explained to him.
The staff are incredible, all very nice and I just found the customer service really great in general despite how busy they were for Black Friday. Joseph, in particular was really helpful in solving a problem I had with an online order. Overall really happy with my experience with the store.

It is very nice and very nice and very customer friendly. The staff is also very nice here.
Staff are a bit hit and miss. Some are great and some are just no interested in helping at all. They have a great range of course but when looking at phones, you can't even hold phones without the security locks on them to get a feel for them, which is absolutely ridiculous and they have phones in display that they can't sell you because they're out of stock but can't take the displays down because of some rule with suppliers. It's quite frankly misleading and annoying to customers
Big store, bit short on service staff but some great prices if you're in the right place at the right time.
thoughts about hiring scenarios may be rare but here was my experience based on what happened last month July: i came in store a few minutes early, as recommended. the interview started 5 to 10 minutes later than expected which was fine. Me and the manager, dunno and cant remember his name, went out of the store and sat at a nearby public table with 2 chairs opposite each other. I expected an interview filled with professionalism but how wrong was i. The first handful of minutes was HIM waffling and rambling about the differences between Operations and Merchandising, wondered if i wanted a position in Operations as multiple people left that team but i wasnt interested and then he asked the questions of "Tell me about yourself." and "Why JBHIFI?" so suddenly as he slouched in the chair with his arms crossed like a rebel! He, in general, also asked me about my responsibilities of my role at another retailer. Shortly later, he answered a mobile phone call mid interview! The interview is coming to an end and he said "I will give you a call back in the next couple of days as I think you'll be a good fit for the merchandising team" and that he'll discuss it with the Merchandising coordinator alongside challenging me on taking on the role. Then in my head, i went "lol a couple of days? you know that wont happen! plus you have a few more interviews to go through and you have tens of other applicants you havent gotten back to." After all that, i left back to the car on the rooftop carpark and was like to myself "maaan, the twists in that interview and unprofessionalism was unlike the unsuccessful one i had in Hornsby". With all that being said, im lost for words on how unfun and how much of a waste of time that was
Online order was ready for pickup in about 40 minutes. Staff were great, even offered to help bring it to the car
This was not a good experience unlike previous visits. The sales person was arrogant and rushed me at every step. When I asked questions he was dismissive and kept saying "it will be ok". I bought a small laptop computer on sale. It wasn't the one I went there to get although very similar. In the end I felt bum rushed to buy and I believe bought a laptop above the spec I wanted. While I am happy with the purchase I still feel like I was rushed and there may have been a better option. In making the sale The salesman asked me for my email. I said it could be one of two and gave him the first one. He took it. He got my mobile number and then when I suggested It was probably the other email. He said it would be ok and it would all be linked through to my mobile. Unfortunately, I now have two accounts with JB Hi-Fi each with a different email. I only want one and I don't know how to merge them. Salesperson was not interested in helping me at all. He was just interested in making a sale and moving on. In short, he was a rude salesman and very dismissive of any of my questions I do not want to go back to this store again in case I run into him again.
Just left new machine in my kitchen and asked us to dry old machine and put out on the road then call JB HIFI to take it Sales said delivery will take old one and set up new one but $85 delivery fee for nothing Just want ask JB HIFI does everyone need install new machine by customer self and put old one on the road side ?
