We went there to check out vacuum cleaners, and one specific model on display caught our attention. The display price was $379, but after chatting with the store manager, he offered to reduce it to $365. Getting a discount without even asking too hard felt nice — it showed they genuinely care about customer satisfaction instead of just sticking to the tagged price.nnWe also decided to add a 3-year extended warranty, which gave us extra peace of mind. With appliances like vacuum cleaners, you never know when something might go wrong, so having that extended protection made the whole purchase feel more secure and worthwhile.nnWhat stood out even more was the variety in the store. I bought a pedestal fan today from The Good Guys and was genuinely impressed by their Gold Service offer, which includes a 3‑year warranty. Over the years I’ve purchased multiple fans from different places, and almost all of them stopped working within the first year. So seeing a 3‑year warranty on a simple household item like a pedestal fan really stood out to me.nnFor anyone who values durability and reliability over fancy features, this warranty is an absolute winner. It gives real peace of mind, and it shows that The Good Guys are confident in the products they sell. Really happy with today’s purchase.
I would give a minus if I could!nOrdered a fridge, washer and microwave and paid delivery. Fridge arrived nothing else - spent hours on the phone trying to get through to them - the message essentially says we are to busy you need to come in. So eventually we went in, in fairness customer service lady was lovely - run off her feet while everyone else seemed to be chatting and wandering around, managing calls and the people in the queue: She organised delivery for the washing machine and we picked up microwave ourselves - got it home and it was used - covered in food and grease - missing its plate - spent an insane amount of time waiting on the phone - again customer service rep tried her best to help - as I asked if they could bring a replacement with the washing machine when it is delivered and take the old one away - she tried to arrange something for us but her manager Matt would not allow it saying my elderly mother will need to bring it back in store to have it looked at. Customer service lady was sincerely sorry and tried her best but when management dont care I guess she is powerless and we are yet again giving up hours of our day tomorrow to try to fix their mess. Terrible experience.
Abysmal service with arrogant sales staff.nnThis review is in relation to click and collect. For anyone unfortunate enough to need this service, note there is a separate location for certain items as per map below. There’s nothing in the order confirmation email a simple solution but apparently they usually call you to let you know.nnAfter 30min waiting in the instore click and collect line, I learnt the above after reaching the front of the queue. Counter staff obviously bearing the brunt of customer complaints was very apologetic.nnWhat really left a sour taste was the 3 sales staff, chatting away at the front of the store. On the way out, I suggested they should probably go over to the massive queue and check with other customers so they don’t too waste their time waiting in a queue for nothing. Their response? “Not my job mate, I’ll let them know”. What a disgrace of an answer.nnThis issue is known across the business and has been raised multiple times in team meetings. It’s time to treat your customers as if they’re important to you. You don’t deserve my patronage and you’ll no longer receive it.
I recently purchased an LG fridge/freezer and a Haier dryer from The Good Guys, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience.nnMatt and Hemanthw were incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the whole process. They took the time to answer all my questions, provided honest advice, and made the whole purchasing experience easy and stress-free.nnI’m extremely satisfied with my purchase and the excellent customer service I received. Highly recommend The Good Guys, especially if you get the chance to be assisted by Matt and Hemanthw.
