Love the history of this place. Used to be great in the Charlie Gray era. Shame to see it deteriorate over the years,  drab, dreary, musty and dusty would probably be how I'd would describe it now. The cinema's smell, the seats are uncomfortable, and place feels unclean, service is average and uninterested. A far cry from it hey day and in desperate need of some solid investment and new ideas to bring it back to life.

The staff in the ticket wasn’t very friendly and we gave up watching a movie and crossed street to the nice restaurants across the street

I guess it would be quite nostalgic for some, very handy for those who live in Devonport and is quite beautiful but not my cup of tea. Very affordable tickets but the theatre smelt like a 1970s car, staff are wonderfully friendly but the seats were rather uncomfortable and sadly the best spot in the house is taken by the stairway down the middle of the theatre.

A beautiful old theatre. Friendly staff. Comfortable seats. Good selection of films to view.

lovely pistachio gelato! the texture was smooth and the sweetness was just right, a very enjoyable after dinner treat.
