Excellent suite of 4 cinemas. Comfortable seats. Varied array of films and special events. Good wine selection. Very friendly and helpful staff.
It's not super modern, slick or really flash and it doesn't always run seamlessly - it's more homely, comfortable and caring.nAND they do excellent Things! nFor example, in addition to running most of the main stream movies, they also host interesting Film Festivals such as the recent and well attended Italian Fest. They have their Silver Club for 'Seniors' like me, a movie nibbles and Bar spot served by smiling helpful people, a good Web presence and Hockey Pokey icecream. nTucked away at the end of Queen Street in Birkenhead Point on the North Shore, this endearing Cinema is well worth many visits.nUpdate 4/06/22nCurrently enjoying the comedies of the French Film Festival at the Bridgeway. None of the reclining seats that my bad back prefers and the screens are not large. .. but it's very 'comfy' and greatly assisted by caring staffers and tasty goodies.nWell worth a regular visit for genuinely interesting s. nnJune 2023:nJust greatly enjoyed 6 films at each of the Italian and French Film Festivals hosted by The Bridgeway. nnBig Hint: If you don't want to stand in a loooong queue for each of your movies, buy and pay for all your tickets in advance so you can go directly to your cinema seats as soon as you arrive.
what's with the grumpy old guy who serves. If you do not like your job leave. If you are the manager leave! Wont come back as he is just too rude
I love this cinema, but I wish the seats were clean. Truely not for the faint hearted I did try to email this feedback less publicly but listed email did not work.
Always a great range of movies. Lovely venue. Great cafe/restaurant next door.
