Went to watch a movie at Hoyts Wairau and overall it was a pretty average experience. The cinema appeared clean enough at first glance, but there was a constant smell of butter throughout the place that became quite noticeable and a bit unpleasant after a while.nnThe experience felt a bit underwhelming for the price of a ticket. Staff didn’t seem particularly attentive and things felt a little disorganised overall. The movie itself was good, but the cinema experience didn’t really add much to it.nnOn a positive note, it does look like they’ve made the front entrance more spacious, which is a nice improvement and makes getting in and out feel less cramped. Hopefully some of the other aspects improve too.
The movie was nice. Went to watch Lilo & Stitch. Bought a stitch blanket from here. The lazy boy chair was nice. It was very comfortable. Customer service was nice. They were very talkative. You can buy alcohol from here. Looks clean and tidy. There's a small arcade game for kids to enjoy here while waiting.
Love the reduced price tickets I got via my membership. Recliner was not working but staff quickly moved us to alternate seating without a fuss. The popcorn refill is a fab option. This cinema feels boujee compared to their competitor.
Came in with my dad today and had friendly, funny and quick service from the staff. Super comfy seats too and reasonably priced. Thats for a great time team.
Shocking. Got here at 9:30 for our 9:45 showing on Sunday. Staff let us in at 9:45 but told us the manager had not arrived and they weren't able to start showing movies. The poor staff were very apologetic but also said the first shows may have to be canceled. Things started happening at 10am but staff were only then able to start getting tills opened. Movie wasn't cancelled, but they skipped all the ads and started the movie straight away while people where still waiting in line to do tickets and snacks. No sound either for the first bit of movie. Worst experience at Hoyts.
