After reading mostly good reviews my wife and I decided to give this place a try while staying in the area.nAt first glance the menu seemed a little pricey but usually with high pricing comes high quality.nUnfortunately the prices did not match the quality nFor entree we got the mussels $27 because the oysters were not available and a margarita pizza $25nThe mussels tasted ok but they were not debearded and the sauce lacked any texture, way too watery. For $27 i expected more. The margarita pizza was ok but again lacked any wow factor.nFor the main i got the Lamb Rump $43 and she got the Prawn n Chorizo pasta $34.nMy lamb was beautifully cooked and paired well with the Jus. The harrisa carrots and mushy peas on their own were ok but did not go very well together with the rest of the dish.nLacked cohesion.nThe Prawn and chorizo pasta was nice but for $34 lacked any memoriable experience apart from the price, a little bland. The king prawn on top was a nice addition though and visually looked good.nAll in all if the price wasn't so high it would of been ok but charging those prices you need to meet a mark and unfortunately they didn't.nI'd definitely be driving into the township next time.nGreat service though, very good in that department
We were the only ones here at lunchtime and it was divine! Great service, good beers! I ordered the primavera pizza which was outstanding and my husband ordered the prawn tacos. Loved them both! The pizza was really lovely, the pesto and lemon ricotta added so much flavor. Yum!!
Im thinking that this just happened to be a bad night as we had to wait for our food for a very long time. I had the roast pumpkin meal which I didn’t enjoy at all and would not recommend. My partner had the duck which he would rate 7 out of ten. One of our party had the chicken burger which he really enjoyed. The owner did give us a desert platter to make up for the wait which was delicious and greatly appreciated. The review is based on what I ate. I would also like to note that our waitress was very apologetic and sweet and I felt for her.
We just stopped for lunch and shared a Pepperoni pizza between us, but if we're ever in the Area near Acacia Bay again we'll seek this place out again for a bigger feed.nnSometimes you walk into a place and can just tell it's going to be good. Everything's clean including the toilets!, and the staff seem invested, like they really enjoy the food they're serving. Couldn't recommend it more!
They used to make my favourite Pizza in NZ, the Green Orbit. Unfortunately it has been replaced with something else which is not great. But I have tried several dishes here and it has always been good taste and good quality. We visit this restaurant often and have always had good experience. Service is good and staff are friendly. Sometimes it gets packed and the service might be slow, don't get mad at them as they are very popular and they really do their best. It's easily one of my favourite locals.
