We visited on Mother's Day 2022. The whole experience was flawless. They have a diverse menu that surely appeals to a wide variety of dinners. The ambience of the dining room is warm and inviting and not crammed. The welcome was friendly and the table staff have hospitality plus, but it comes with a genuine desire to make your experience special.nnOur meals were beautifully crafted and presented. I received my steak cooked perfect, medium rare, very well done chef.nnAll in all we couldn't fault the experience and we'd recommend highly.
Nice ambience but unfortunately that was far as it got. Busy night being Martariki Friday, and clearly understaffed I know it's challenging to get staff in hospo.nnThe entree - calamari was good, not stellar. Scotch fillet was chewy... taste and seasoning was solid but sadly for $59 you'd expect better than the quality of a Woolworths steak. Definitely a poor quality cut.nnSides were in-season veges and like other reviews on Tripadvisor, no taste.
I made the mistake of taking my family of 11 to Christmas Lunch 2023. We had booked several months before the big day and were promised a memorable time. It was memorable but not in a good way. The service was almost none existent, my family was left looking at a wall it the overcrowded room. The food was picked over and unappetising. Many of the food items promised were missing.nI tried to bring this to the Hilton's attention just after Christmas but no interest was shown. I WILL NOT BE BACK.
you would expect better from a chain hotel. food is in general salty and oily. seasoning is in discord. service is patchy and inconsistent: one came to take order and then another came to take the order again. views are largely obstructed.
Got charged $13.00 for a Shandy. I asked the waitress for 70% lemonade & 30% lager and was charged $13.00. When I questioned the barman he said he charged it at Cocktail price. RIP OFF !!! And we are locals so won't be going back. A Peroni, that someone else had, was $11.00 so my Shandy was more expensive!!nNot very good vegetarian options...nThe waitress got another diner's at our table steak meal wrong and was charged $60.00 instead of $44.00 and then $18.00 for a few spears of asparagus, which had to be ordered as a side dish as the steak didn't come with anything else.
