My parents and I had an amazing time here during our stay at the Hilton. Our first meal we were absolutely shattered from the long drive but the staff made our experience a memorable one. And shout out to the staff who gave my mum a free birthday cake dessert - she was so made up
We were staying at the Hilton for the McCartney tournament and decided to just dine downstairs. Dinner was absolutely fabulous and faultless. The market fish was skin on snapper and the fish was perfection. The spiced calamari was superb, our kids rated it the best calamari we have had. The kids meals were also delicious and generous. They seemed a bit short staffed but the staff were so friendly and obliging. Beautiful setting and views as well.nWill definitely be back next time we’re in the neighbourhood.
We are staying at the Hilton and decided to do dinner here. What a fantastic choice we made. The meal was wonderful and Joy our server was fantastic! Very friendly and willing to carry on the conversation that you don't find often anymore.nnWe had plenty of food and enjoyed a fantastic meal!!!
Treat yourself to a fantastic dinner, with panoramic views, delicious cuisine and excellent service. Specific mentions are the market fish, the Monkfish on this occasion cooked and seasoned to absolute perfection, rounded off with the Banana pudding, which was a real delight. The sky put on a spectacular show as the sun set. But the absolute highlight of the experience was our waitron, Joy, who truly knows how to look after a guest and made us feel very important and cared for- she checked in with us, was genuine and personable. Exceptional service like this is a rarity in contemporary dining, I hope the Hilton Hotel realise what an asset Joy is to their institution. If you looking for a truly special evening in Lake Taupo then you have to go to Bistro Lago.
We had a fantastic dinner at Bistro Lago Hilton Lake Taupo, and the experience was made all the more special because the staff were incredible. A special mention here for the wonderful service from Chamil, for being incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our entire meal. With the rest of the staff Alexandra and Joy for making us feel at home. We will definitely go back here!
