Amazing food and great service. From the moment I called to make the booking, the staff was very catering to our halal requirements. When we arrived, the waiter told us which items were halal all except the pork starter.nnWe ordered the curried prawns and beef carpaccio for the entree’s, and then the eye fillet and duck leg for the mains. The duck leg was a pleasant surprise, very tasty. For dessert we ordered the creme brûlée and the chocolate/mandarin mousse. Everything was amazing.nnYou can really tell the staff are passionate about food and really care to give you a great experience.nn10/10 would recommend.
One of the best meals I have ever had. If you are looking for a special meal in an amazing atmosphere this is the place to go. It’s classy, it’s delicious , worth every cent.
We had the absolute best night on the 1st of April my birthday. I arrived with my mum and sister and was surprised to see a group of my best friends already sitting at the table. The food was outstanding! And the atmosphere perfect! We all agreed we felt so indulged especially with all the extras you get at The Brantry! The complimentary bread that we couldn’t get enough of the sorbet between entree and main. The attention to detail is impressive! From the local potters dishes you eat from, to the immaculate presentation of every meal. The staff are so attentive, I don’t think anyone was left waiting for a drink. If you’re heading along to the Brantry we can all recommend the rose bud cocktails! They are delicious.nWe left with big smiles, full bellies and aching cheeks from an awesome night of delicious food & drinks, great company and lots and lots of laughs!
A talented team makes this little restaurant punch above its weight.nMy wife and I enjoyed three courses . My starter was a pumpkin, Feta, Ravioli with pumpkin puree, spiced pickles and sage crisps. The combination was intelligent and carefully balanced.nMy wife had Farmed Venison blackstrap served with a buckwheat salad, broccolini, buffalo curd and chocolate jus. A side dish of goose fat potato’s with a horseradish aioli was essential. It was the best and most tender venison either of us had ever eaten.nDesert were equally as amazing if not better than the mains. The ginger Creme brûlée was stunning but the chocolate orange tart with a Chilli chocolate sorbet, orange gel was the show stopper.nCongratulations to the talented young chefs for a unique and intelligent dinning experience.
We came for early dinner. Ordered set menu and food is delicious. The only issue is that fish of the day doesn’t smell fresh. Rather it smells salted and dried before cooking. It still tastes good but not what I would expect. Also there are only two pieces of bread. When we ask for more we were told no more. Quite strange.
