Brantry Eatery

A very high quality restaurant, and reasonably priced. We two of us had an excellent little appetizer duck, starters of prawns and gyozas and mains of snapper and lamb. All we're outstanding. We could not fit in dessert.nnWine list was quite good. We purchased by the glass. The host/Manager gave us some good advice.nnI'd come back here for sure.

Such a refreshing change from all the pub food around! The space is a block from the water and has chic cozy vibes. The snapper was mouth watering and you can’t go wrong when served soft bread with sun dried tomato & chive butter! But, as we all know, service is most important and Bantry takes the cake; even more than the chocolate mousse cake which I was practically licking off the plate.

Always good food at the Brantry - family dinner, very enjoyable in the undercover outdoor dining area. The bread and entrees were superb , as were the desserts . Our lamb rump dish was disappointing - more like pulled well cooked lamb with little flavour. Family also had the brisket and pork belly and really enjoyed those. Three courses for $84 is value for money - but you do need the extra sides at extra cost with your main. Special Christmas bomb Alaska dessert was superb.

Booked for Saturday evening and enjoyed the 3 course menu, food and service was outstanding. Highly recommend when visiting Taupō.

What an incredible experience! The staff is wonderful, warm and welcoming. The food is out of this world! Drinks are very reasonably priced, and the gin selection deserves a special mention. Eating here is an 11 out of 10 experience and should not be missed. Pictures of some dishes are missing because I was so lost in enjoying them that I forgot I meant to take them.nnAlso, the gyoza are some of the best I have ever tasted.
