Southern Comfort Motels

Really disheartened and disappointed with Southern Comfort Motel. After being a loyal customer and staying here many many times I have been really let down. Always book my accommodation months in advance so I don’t miss out, payment was due on Feb 21st 2025 and they attempted to take it on Sept 16 2024. Due to my card obviously not having enough for the booking they have cancelled my room and not at all attempted to recover it with me, they just don’t care. My friend who booked for the same dates had the money taken and then the room cancelled due to a RATE change, communication was really needed here and this is where they failed. If you want more money don’t allow bookings so far in advance when they’re cheaper.

The man who checked me in was incredibly rude. I was charged a damage deposit of $100 which I was unaware of. If I had if known I would not have booked this motel. They can hold your deposit for up to 3 days! I was lucky and booked a nice upstairs room, apparently the other side of the complex is very average. It is a noisy location, the shower isn't that clean. But honestly...that staff member alone would make me never stay here again or recommend it to anyone. Sadly they get enough bookings to not have to give good customer service.

rooms were clean/hygenic and newly renovated looked like we were the first to stay, staff were friendly and helpful, and the premises had space for large campervan parking. cozy space and basic amenities provided. we were even kindly offered an upgrade! was a bit worried after reading other reviews but looks like they have definitely improved and we had nothing to worry about.

My Nan called, she said her coffin is more comfortable than the beds here.nnOverall the rooms are a nice size, the noise of traffic is horrific, but good location and close to lots of things.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Shower leaked into the bedroom, lights on all night and curtains don't block any light may aswell sleep with the inside lights on. Took a bond and never returned it. Wouldn't recommend. Worst place I've stayed in a long timee
