101 Stars Motel

We stayed at 101 Stars early January for four nights, there were 4 of us staying and we were given a room that had a very large L shaped leather lounge suite which was such a pleasant surprise, thank you so much!! The lounge area was super comfortable and a great size with loads of windows and even an outdoor deck area to sit out on it would be nice to have a table and chairs out there. There were 2 separate bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with 2 singles, which were both very comfortable. The kitchenette was great also with everything you need. Loved how there was a separate toilet and bathroom, although these are small they are modern and very clean. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. One thing was we kind of expected the room to be serviced a lot more than just the rubbish cleared and new towels placed in the room each day, especially with the price you pay. Otherwise, everything was really good. Another thing is perhaps put a full-length mirror in each room. That would be awesome. The area is industrial and residential so there is a bit of surrounding noise as the busy Blenheim road is right there, but the room we got was great, not much road sound, except for noisy neighbors at odd times but only heard them if the windows were open. It's awesome that it's a short drive to shopping malls and good restaurants/cafes. There is plenty of car parking. Would recommend staying here, the owners are really lovely and we will stay again, especially in that lovely large room.

A great motel. So convenient and local to all areas of Christchurch. The room was lovely too. Tidy and clean. The shower was the best. And having a kitchenette was a bonus. Was a lovely stay. I will be using this motel again if ever I’m in CHCH again. Thank you 101Stars Motel.

Noisy. The washing machines down stairs seem to operate between 10pm and 2am as if the road noise is not bad enough to escape from. These machines are fully industrial clunking and humming all night - currently night 3 with little sleep. I have stayed in many motels in Christchurch and the service here is below standard great and tidy for one night however if you were to stay for more than one night your room would only be serviced every two days which is ONLY a towel and bin swap.

The only thing is that it's a bit noisy as it's right next to main road. But then location was great, close to city and room was excellent. You can do own laundry, powder provided & can exchange coins at reception. Staff was very helpful. Thank you!

The room was a decent size and nice and private, everything clean and well maintained. The shower is really good - strong water pressure and the water heats up quickly.nThere is traffic noise as it's on a busy road, but when you close the windows it fades out so it's not so bad, and when the windows were closed I was able to use the heat pump on 'fan' to keep the air circulating.nNo trouble with parking, and the staff I dealt with were friendly.nMy room was on the second floor and getting my suitcase up and down the stairs was a bit tricky, but I managed ok.
