Location is very convenient, accessible to all places we visited. Service is exceptional, warm, friendly and professional. Room is spacious for 2 has a old character feel to it.nOnly down fall I would say is the parking as it does not accommodate all rooms.
Very good location that is convenient go anywhere. Room is tidy and clean, even though the facilities are a bit old. But it surprises me that you can cook in the room, which I give the fourth stars for the motel. Even the spaces are very limited, but the swimming pool and the kids play area are still very handy, which worth to have 5 stars.
Camelot HotelnnWe recently stayed for a 3 night stay, the room that we were allocated was extremely poorly lit with 2 light fittings out. The reception staff were quick to come to confirm but could do nothing that night.nThe next day one light was fixed but the one over the makeup up bench was unable to be fixed during our stay.nThe 1bed unit we stayed in was at the rear and as such we had to keep the bedroom and back sitting room windows closed and curtains drawn or we had no privacy from the street, also all other windows faced into the car park and other rooms so again for privacy we had to keep all windows closed and curtains drawn.nThis created a very claustrophobic atmosphere within the room and adding the poor lighting really made our stay unpleasant.nThe room safe is very old school requiring a safe key to utilise, this key is not automatically given to guests, you must separately ask for it from reception.nThe room is very run down with peeling paint a toilet seat that slips and slides all over the place, no air conditioning, a fridge that partially blocks the doorway to the bedroom.nThere is no power outlet in the ironing / make up room and the exhaust fan in the bathroom has been disconnected instead of being repaired/replaced.nThe shower screen door edge strip is loose and comes away and sorry, but the floors were in no way clean.nWe have stayed in the past but whereas this place used to rate 4 stars I could not see it rating anywhere above 2 stars now.nA major revamp is urgently needed to address the wear and tear issues and to bring this place up to modern standards.nYes, this hotel is very quaint and has character overload but the run-down state of this place needs to be addressed sooner rather than later
My wife and I loved our time staying at Camelot Court. Stayed for 4 nights in a huge apartment, very comfortable. The place is a bit dated, but apparently, they're going to be doing a refurbishment. I've stayed a few times before and have never been disappointed.nWill definitely stay again.nClinton, the manager, was very accommodating and wish to thank him for his excellent service.
Very helpful, friendly girl on reception - Sarah. After that it went downhill! We were in Room 772 which was on the upper level. No voil curtain on window so no privacy from people walking past. The bed and all areas were very clean but everything was dated and the overall condition was very shabby. The mattress was of poor quality: every time one of us moved the whole mattress moved The toilet seat was the wrong size so didn't fit properly. The fridge was so noisy we had to turn it off at night so we could sleep. Somebody had left what looked like icecream in the freezer but the most annoying thing was the Internet which dropped out so often as to make it unusable. Sarah did try to help but the problem was more complicated than she could sort, despite her best efforts. All in all, we were very happy to leave and will not be back. Sorry to be so negative but no point in leaving a dishonest review. The whole place is in dire need of a major update. Considering how convenient it is to Christchurch CBD - we walked to Cathedral Square in about 25 mins - surely it would be a worthwhile thing to do.
