Rydges Rotorua

We spent 2 nights with our children. Amazing doesn't come close to describing our stay. The staff went above and beyond, especially the service staff for breakfast. So helpful, friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and the staff were first class, especially John I think he was called who was in charge of running the breakfast service. The room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and room was toasty and warm even with the cold nights. We can't wait to return and will be recommending the hotel to family and friends. The staff should all be so proud of the amazing job they do and we truly appreciate the fantastic service we received during our stay.

Beautiful stay, staff very accommodating to your needs. Staff easy to talk too. Continental breakfast with a beautiful area to dine in and lots of space. Great selection of food offered. Easy access in and out of the hotel with loads of parking available. Cleaning service excellent. Would stay again next time in Rotorua and can't wait for the new renovations on the rooms to be completed. Great access for the race course and the area close to the town. Only downfall was the spa bath was not functioning but understandable as the hotel still recovering from being a isolation facility during the Covid period. Apart from that definitely would return and recommend to all. Reasonable prices in today's world..Thankyou staff of Arawa Park Hotel.

John and his team were very friendly, with great service for breakfast. The hotel is being renovated and looks a bit like a ghost town. The rooms was spacious and great for the kids. Very comfy beds and it's in a great location Rooms: 3/5

Fantastic location and service. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way for my request for an early check in. Was particularly impressed with the service at the restaurant- John Chetty, F & B manager waited till we arrived back from seeing the lights at Redwood and had our dinner delivered to our room spot on. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds and pillows- bit dated rooms but that’s minor.

Had a lovely stay in Arawa Park Hotel. Spacious, clean rooms and the staff were very helpful, and cleaning staff very friendly. The air conditioning was great for the hot weather. The only thing that was lacking was that we didn’t have any plates or cutlery in our room and we asked for some to be sent to our room but they must’ve been forgotten. Overall, a great hotel. Would stay here again.

First room: AC didn't work, maintenance came and turned it off and back on again. Then they moved me to another room. I had to leave things in the previous room because I had 15min to get ready before being picked up after dealing with this. Room #2: discovered at 10:30pm that the shower head kept falling down and the hair dryer only worked on high speed. Also no trash can in the bathroom. Giving this place any stars because the bed was decent and...there was electricity I guess. Will not be staying here again or recommending to others.

I have been to Arawa Park Hotel Rydges a few times now and they run a very tidy premises. Sadly, on this visit they were still waiting for the tourism industry to pick up, and the conference I was there with seemed to be the only patrons, bar the couple of other individuals we saw at meal times. With such low numbers though, the team did an amazing job servicing us bending over backwards to be as helpful as possible. Unfortunately, with such low numbers the restaurant seemed dark and bare, but the rest of the facilities were top notch. The conference facilities were excellent, and the refreshed rooms were a nice touch except for some reason our TV was locked to a limited number of channels and TVNZ seemed to be missing?. Overall, a great stay yet again, and I hope they are able to pick up coming into summer.

Stayed for a couple of nights, rooms were beyond dated although beds were comfortable and clean. Bathrooms had broken tiles and mold. Booked place from Google images, for bar, pool and food options. Absolutely photo shopped, there hasn't been a pool in 9 years, the bar was non existent and breakfast was awful. The hotel staff were friendly. I would not recommend it to anyone it is the second worst hotel experience I have ever had.... Noteworthy details: Find another place to stay, either on lake front or near attractions

Hotel room facilities were pleasing, due to comfort, space and amenities. However, hospitality from the front desk was questionable from the momeny of check in, including the moment of check out! A lack of warmth, help and overall sterile. We would highly likely eat elsewhere, as the food did not aligh with the cost. A much different hotel since the change over!

Very central location.Friendly helpful staff at all times we needed them. High quality furnished room. Very pleasant breakfast options. We had a very lovely time there.
