Fernleaf Motel

Extremely friendly and welcoming. Used the washing machine $4 and ideal drying conditions either on outside line or on poles in laundry room - heated by thermal underfloor heating and very efficient. We enjoyed both the pool and the sulphur pool . There is so much to do in Rotorua and Willy and Cherie give very good advice. Would certainly stay there again if in the area.

Staff friendly, accommodation adequate, if you are simply looking for a place to lay your head but not particularly comfortable/pleasant. Styling leaves a lot to be desired: old, dusty plastic sunflowers in heated pool area along with faded tatty posters. Wall art that is 3D animals jumping off the wall, stained lino by mould/dirt. Heated pool did not look clean and had unidentified things floating in it. The whole place needs a spruce up and some basic renovations and scrubbing down. My room didn't get serviced and I ran out of towels and coffee.

Clean and spacious rooms, full kitchens, great swimming pool and mineral bath! The owners were extremely hospitable and quick to change out anything we needed in the rooms. They have the cutest little motel dog running around too! If I'm ever in Rotorua I would definitely book here again

Not sure if it's spelt Cherie or Sheree but she and willy were awesome hosts! Oh and cute lil Rocky too! their dog, honestly was the best place I've stayed on my 2 week journey out of all the others! lots of space and beds in the rooms, clean bedding and tidy, awesome pool and hot tub, I wasn't interested in the Netflix but it's good to see the extras available as well as free WiFi, pull out couches, bbq, laundry, kitchenette, walk to shops and room for parking.. seriously.. apart from the smell of the town which we joked about and got used to I highly recommend Fernleaf Motel if you want an honest, friendly, reliable and affordable accommodation. They just make you feel so welcome and happy to be in Rotorua. Cheers for the awesome vacay :

onwer is very friendly, clean room, full kitchen Little dog is so cute. Great spa with clean pool. Anything u need they will provide immediately.

Great place to stay! Clean and well-maintained. Very close to everything. We walked everywhere. The owners are amazing. Their hospitality and helpfulness was greatly appreciated!!!Location: 5/5

Very basic accomidation, strong smell of sulpher from the natural hot spa behind the lodges. This Motel is okay for a one night 'passing through' stay but no more. However the owner and staff were very pleasant.

Very comfortable and quiet motel. The internal heating system is superb for cold weather and 65inch Smart TV with Netflix and most other Apps a welcome distraction.

Booked fr the labour long weekend break getaway full kitchen utilities - comfortable beds, great showers, own carpark space, very clean tidy modernised unit with daily housecleaning. Motel private mineral pool & secured heated outdr pool all year round. Bonus was having Netflix & wifi access we're definitely coming back.

just spent 3 nights here. was lovely great friendly service...everything was so clean which I loved. my family felt comfortable to the point my girls said it felt like home. would recommend fernleaf to anyone. thank you so much Wendy & Andrew for a lovely weekend
