This is my second stay at this hotel, and it’s perfect for a relaxing getaway and an overall comfortable lifestyle experience.nnThe lobby made a great first impression being elegant and cozy, although I was a bit unsure about the cleanliness of the pillow covers. The lobby bathroom had a luxurious feel but could have been cleaner. With the buffet and the bar giving a relaxing vibe and feeling when next to the fire.nnEven though we waited a hour and a half, navigating to the rooms was easy and convenient with the elevators, but the room itself, while cozy, felt a bit cramped with all our bags. Despite that, I had no issues to do my stuff. The beds were incredibly comfortable, though I did experience some neck discomfort due to the pillows. The lakeside view from the bed was a nice touch, especially when lying near the window. The room was clean, but the bathroom wasn’t as spotless as I’d hoped.nnThe pool was enjoyable and not too crowded at times, which made for a great time. Relaxing in the spa was especially memorable, perfect for unwinding and sharing moments.nnOverall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone in the area. I’d happily return for another stay.
Favourite hotel in the area! Wonderful staff, great buffet meals, well stocked bar. Really love the lake view rooms-always clean and spacious. The hotel pools are relaxing and open til late.nAlways a wonderful experience and will continue to return! Thank you
Don't book this hotel if you have a baby. It takes ages to check in. While the long waiting 50 minutes to check in, our one-year-old child was hungry. My husband went to their restaurant to ask for some water to give baby formula. And he was told they did not have any drink water. They only had the hot water from the shower pipe. Cannot believe that their restaurant only had warm water from the shower pipe!! Our baby was crying during the long wait Actually, we were the second in the queue. There was only one family in front of us. But it seems they were doing training on this busy Saturday afternoon, with more than ten family was waiting in the queue. We asked to confirm the room we booked was lake views, and need to wait for the manager come to check the system. We asked to confirm how much fees we need to pay, and need to wait for the manager come to check as well. The manager said that we were ready to go in one minute because the only thing wait was giving us our room card. But after the manager left, we waited for another 10 minutes because the staff was waiting for the manager to teach how to get our room card. Nobody cares baby cry or came to ask what happened. Also, we were told the check in time is 2 pm. However, one of our rooms was still not ready at 3 pm we booked 2 rooms. We were told to come back later. The long waiting time in checkin made us late for all the booked and paid activities. And they do not care!!! We paid $34 for each adult for the breakfast, we confirmed this when check in, and we were told the fee include breakfast. But the next morning, when we went to the restaurant, we were told to pay extra for the breakfast. It turned out that they made mistakes again. When we checked out, we confirmed the total fee would be charged with the manager. However, when we checked our credit card record two days later, the fee charged is higher than the amount we were told and also higher than the amount confirmed in the email we received. We emailed the hotel to ask for the fee details, but there was no reply at all. Nobody replies to the email. Worst experience. It ruined our holiday.
The hotel is in a great location, right by the lake and the eat street. The staff were fantastic from the start. During check-in, the staff member was helpful and friendly. The rooms were nice as well. If you're choosing between this hotel and the Rydges, I can say that our experience at Novotel was far better.
We stayed for 4 nights as a family with 2 kids aged 5 and 1. The location is perfect next to the park and eat street. Free parking across the hotel too. Very Disappointed that the pools were closed during our stay though as was one of the main reasons i booked here along with location. Room was dated, especially the bathroom but hotel is currently going through a much needed refurbishment so this should improve. We did eat at the restaurant a few times and the staff were lovely and accommodating with our noisy messy kids, good options for kids to eat too.
