Very affordable, you do get what you pay for in the end. Rooms were in average condition the shower was cold more often than hot so not nice showers. Had room serviced but left 2 of us with 1 towel. Staff were friendly pool was nice but spa out of action, close to town so handy to do things. Based on price I would try staying again and hope for some improvements. As I said you get what you pay for.
The overall cleanness of the room was dirty. The floors were filthy under the fold out couch was food, there was a massive hair ball on the floor and cobwebs and spiders everywhere to name a few things. When brought to attention of management they said would get a full service the next day. They only did a quick clean, got them back to do a bit more. Still wasn't very clean. We had 6 people, only enough cups etc for 3 and not enough bedding for the fold out couch. I realize that it is an older place but no excuse for it to be dirty. Would not stay here again.
I feel bad for giving this place 3 stars because there is nothing wrong with it, it's simply a normal hotel. There were a few small things that weren't great like the 9pm gate closure being at 7pm, meaning we couldn't bring our bikes in, but ultimately if I needed to stay somewhere for a good price I'd happily go back. The staff are great, the pool and spa are good too.
Very disappointed with this hotel. There was no smoke alarm in our room, just the attachment on the ceiling. The drain in the sink in the bathroom was in need of a good clean and was not draining properly. The spa was tepid only even though we asked twice if it could be hot. The coffee machine mad cold coffee for breakfast!! The place was dated and the curtains ripped and a bit moldy. All this I was going to ignore but unfortunately I left a small book behind and I had to contact them not the other way round. I spent ages looking, an email would have been appreciated. They want $30 to send the book to me. Unbelievable. Will never go back and suggest others don't stay.
Hotel staff were nice. The room was was extremely hot when we arrived and the front desk brought us a fan to use, which helped a little. We left for dinner and when we came back, it smelt like something was burning. The toilet area of the bathroom was a bit dirty and there were bugs. Otherwise the room was nice and comfortable.
This tops the list for one of the worst hotels we stayed in. Its so dirty and floors weren't vacuumed properly. The shower mixer didn't work, it was either too hot or too cold. No AC in the room, no glasses to drink out of as well. Would never stay here nor would I recommend it to anyone.Rooms: 1/5
Nice clean rooms. Quiet area Sunday, Nov-2020. Hot shower. Jacuzzi is nicepublic pool, not private. Friendly staff. Close to Kuirau Park, local restaurants, and an easy drive to the Blue & Green lakes.
A heap of rubbish outside our room door on arrival, old leftover food found under the stairwell in our room, water not draining well from the sink, surfaces covered in dust/not cleaned. Shower randomly turned totally cold after a few minutes use and didn't warm up again. Beds were reasonably comfortable. Microwave, kettle and 2 elements in the kitchenette. Heated outdoor spa pool and bigger pool. Breakfast provided between 8-9:30am.
Great place for a spot over. There's a good pool and the exterior looks clean and well kept. Rooms are nice size and has Sky TV. However, the rooms look clean until you look under the beds. We thought we'd lost something and looked underneath. Doesn't look like it has been hoovered in a very long time. There is a smell in bathroom but there's a smell in town anyway due to geysers.
rubbish hotel asks guests for 50 dollars bond for potential damage, never ever go there again!
