ibis Rotorua

We recently stayed at Ibis Rotorua. It’s an affordable option for anyone looking to explore the city. The rates were very reasonable.nnThe location is very convenient. It’s just a short walk from spa, attractions, restaurants, and shops were all easily accessible either on foot or with a quick ride.nnCleanliness was clearly a priority at this hotel. Our room was spotless when we arrived, and housekeeping did a great job each day. The lobby and common areas were also well-maintained and had a fresh, welcoming feel.nnOne of the highlights of the stay was the staff. Everyone I interacted with was genuinely friendly and helpful. They always went the extra mile with a smile.nnOverall, Ibis Rotorua offers a solid mix of affordability, convenience, and comfort. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Rotorua.

We stayed in a modern double room with glimpses of the lake. Having two double beds meant there was less free space, but this worked well for our family. Great location, being close to many restaurants and the lake. Very easy walk to the free thermal foot soaking baths at the local park. Bonus being able to use the Novotel's facilities and charge anything from there back to our room at the Ibis. Free laundry room came in very handy midway through our travels. Nice staff. Room and bathroom were clean. Just remember to pick up your milk from reception the night before.

We arrived at 3.30, a hour and a half after checkin time and had to wait till 4 as our room was not ready.nYou have access to the novotel pool and gym which was nice.nNot much off street parking but there is free on street parking. Not too far from everywhere so within walking distance.nBeds were comfy, shower had decent pressure and rooms were tidy.

We had a lovely lake view and the building is well situated enabling us to do several brilliant experiences around Rotorua. We made use of the free guest laundry which was useful as we are visiting the whole of NZ., however we had to put the clothes round the tumble dryer twice as they were still damp after the first go through.The shower in our room 461 lacked power and could not hold its temperature so it was a very quick shower didn’t even steam the mirror. The buffet breakfast was ok, however the coffee machine ran out of milk and there was no one to ask to top it up leaving me with a weak black coffee.

Stayed here for two nights and thought the service and accommodations were superb. Beds were comfy and room was spacious. Location was good. Walking distance to lake and eat street and surrounding restaurants. Easy access for pick up for tours.nShout out to front desk staff who were friendly and helpful.
