Millennium Hotel Rotorua

I have stayed at this hotel a few times now and I do like it but unfortunately cleanliness was lacking on my recent stay which made it hard to relax. The duvet inner was soiled, was completely yellowed and discoloured with sweat stains and it stunk. They don't use duvet covers at this establishment, instead sandwiching the duvet inner between two sheets, as is common in hotels. Obviously it can be easily displaced and come into bodily contact. There was rubbish inside the air conditioning vent which is mounted horizontally. Clearly some guests elect to use it as rubbish bin. Furthermore the shower curtain was problematic and the bathroom grout was very moudly. Toilet seat was soiled and stained on the underside. Curtain was mouldy on the reverse with mould on the sliding door window and its seals. Dirty sliding door track too. I saw the house keeper in the hallway the next morning after noticing the state of the duvet inner and asked if she could change it and she said that she would have to ask her manager as they weren't supposed to. It was changed upon return but clearly there is a problem if they need permission from management to change a duvet inner.

While the room was clean and newly renovated and had all the basic necessities, the check in staffs were not the friendliest in my opinion. The staff carrying our luggage was however nice.nnParking here is challenging idk why so we had to park at the roadside. There’s nearby supermarket which you have to drive for around 5 minutes.nnAnother suggestion is to perhaps have bathroom slippers.

I like this hotel, my friend and I both feel very comfortable staying here. The room is bright and clean, nice bed. Amazing warm swimming pool and free spa. Good location in city centre around many restaurants.nnThe only thing needs to be aware of is the WiFi speed. Its a bit slow. But still highly recommended!

We had a great stay at the Millenium Rotorua last weekend.nnThe rooms have been updated recently and are modern and clean both the room and bathroom. The indoor pool and communal hot pools were lovely - only comment would be that kids aren’t supposed to use the hot pools as they are in the spa area - so you can’t relax in the hot tubs while watching the kids in the main pool. The bar was great and Cole in particular was wonderful - very friendly and helped us surprise my mum with a small cake we had prepared for her birthday. He makes an amazing mulled wine too - defintely a nice treat at the end of the day during winter.nnBreakfast could be improved slightly - some of the buffet options were cold and would be great if they included different types of coffee in the price.nnWould definitely stay again.

A great motel right in the centre of town. The rooms are spotless and spacious. Buffet breakfast by the pool every morning is a great start to the day. The staff are extremely friendly, especially Jason, the big dude at the front desk. He’s incredibly knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone wanting accommodation in Rotorua. Peter. Sydney.
