Pullman Rotorua

We had a lovely spacious suite with views over Rotorua township and lake glimpses. We appreciated that in lieu of the club lounge, our status was recognised with the upgrade to a suite along with a gold card entitling us to house drinks, soft drinks and barista coffee. This made a very positive impact on our stay. We were only booked for 2 nights but would have stayed longer if not for other commitments.nnFood in the restaurant was good and staff were well trained, always courteous and helpful.

We stayed for 2 nights for a r and r weekend. Service was great, all staff were helpful and accomodating, room was clean and modern with amazing view of Lake Rotorua. Hotel is walking distance to popular cafes and eat street. Also walking distance to the Lake front and Wai Ariki spa. Perfect spot.

We had a wonderful stay at the Pullman. The staff were exceptional. They are helpful and genuine. The restaurant was fantastic. Every meal was delicious including the buffet on Christmas day which was a la carte quality. The view from the large windows in the room was lovely. Thank you for making our time ao enjoyable.

The Executive Lounge offered a refined, intimate space to unwind, and the property went above and beyond by providing complimentary barista coffee from the restaurant throughout our stay—a high-touch gesture that made every morning feel premium.nService & Agility:nWhat truly impressed me was the staff’s agility. No request was too complex; the team was always genuinely happy to accommodate us in the best possible way, making the entire stay feel bespoke. We truly felt like the only guests in the hotel.nLocation:nThe location is peerless. Situated right in the heart of the city, we were within easy walking distance to every major attraction, including the waterfront and the vibrant dining precinct at Eat Streat. It’s the perfect base for anyone wanting to explore Rotorua without needing to rely on a car for every outing.nThis is undoubtedly the premier address for a luxury stay in Rotorua.

I recently stayed at Pullman Rotorua and, honestly, it markets itself as a 5-star hotel but feels closer to a 3-star by international standards.nnThe rooms are spacious, which is great — but who designed this? The bathroom setup is bizarre. There’s essentially no proper door, so unless you’re into listening to your partner’s full bathroom experience, it’s… not ideal.nnBreakfast was probably the biggest letdown. It felt more like a budget 2-star hotel offering — limited choice, low quality, and staff presence was almost non-existent. The selection was about as exciting as airport vending machine leftovers.nnCheck-in was also a bit disorganised, with no real warmth or sense of hospitality — not what you expect at this level.nnTo top it off, the beds and pillows were genuinely uncomfortable. We both woke up with back and neck pain, which says everything.nnFor the price you’re paying, it’s honestly a bit of a joke.
