North West Medical Centre

I attended recently for treatment following a shoulder dislocation. I really appreciate the care I received. The whole team I dealt with was awesome and took care of me very well. Anna on reception was incredibly helpful and friendly, nurse MC was a pleasure to talk to, Dr Cotter was thorough, professional and took care of everything that needed doing, and Emily at Radiology was an absolute gem. It's a real blessing to have a service like this locally and I'm very thankful to have been helped by people who so evidently care about the work that they do.

Yesterday my daughter and I waited almost two hours and eventually had to leave without being seen. I would have understood the long wait if patients were being seen in the order they arrived, but it was not the case.nIt was after 5pm, and from my experience walk-in patients are supposed to be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. However, that clearly did not happen during our visit. When we first arrived, the estimated wait time was 50 minutes and there were only a few people ahead of us. However, 50 minutes later, four new patients had arrived and were somehow seen before us, while the receptionist then told me the wait time was now 120 minutes and suggested we go to the Kumeū clinic instead. Very disappointing experience

I recently went to NWMC Hobsonville to see a doctor for my little girl who was sick with croup and a bad virus. I was seen very quickly and received amazing care. Anna on reception was incredibly professional and communicated clearly. Celia the nurse was wonderful and put me at ease saying that it was the right thing to bring in my little girl. Dr Peter Cotter was extremely thorough and professional. He also confirmed I did the right thing by bringing her in. I felt very supported and really appreciated the care. Thank you for the great service to this community.

Do NOT come here if you have children and you care about their well being. The lack of empathy and customer service was disgusting. Very traumatic event for something people in this workforce should make you feel at peace for. Save yourself the hassle and be warned to feel extremely judged and for your children to get neglected. Wouldn’t be surprised if this place makes it into the newspaper. Nurse needs to retire if she’s going to be so awful and miserable. Could list more than 7 reasons why my experience was so awful but somewhere higher up will be hearing about this, to try make sure nobody else has to experience this.

Went a few times, and quite differently to the reviews, we only had good experiences. I'd like to give a special thanks to Nelson who went far above and beyond what you'd expect at an A&E medical centre. He was genuinely one of the best medical experiences I've ever had in my life. Also, their wait time display online isn't super accurate, but it's MUCH better than going in without any information at all. They were also great with my baby when we needed.
