What a wonderful place to pop in for a little treat! If you would like to pamper yourself with a nice cake, lunch bite and a coffee- this is a perfect place! Amazing selection of cakes, breads, light bites and hot drinks. Whatever way you want your coffee, they will make it for you. I’ve got a very nice ham, tomato and cheese toastie and a strawberry danish. All was worth my money. The service was excellent and people really friendly, welcoming and chatty. I would definitely be coming back again.
I love their pies! The chicken pie I ate the other day was one of the best I have ever had. I asked one of the girls there what the ingredients are that they use for their pastry crust, and she said the chef would freak out if they ever used anything other than butter. I hope this is true!! I like a real butter crust, and these are just perfect, every time. They also have a nice selection of European pastries and goodies that is really fun, especially around holidays. Things that are hard to find on the South Island. I find their prices to be very reasonable, and their pies are actually at least a dollar cheaper than other places nearby at the moment.
A Bakery You Can’t Afford to Miss!nn- Chicken Pie— Savory, flaky, and deeply satisfying.n- Bacon and Egg Croissant— Buttery layers wrapped around smoky bacon and perfectly cooked egg. Quite nice sauce within it.n- Almond Croissant with Apricot— A genius twist: nutty richness balanced by fruity tang.n-Bee Sting Slice— Sweet, creamy, and utterly irresistible.nnBread Highlights:nTheir mixed mini-bread pack is ideal for sampling—each piece fermented to tender, airy perfection. Every variant we tried was a win!nnCoffee Note:nWhile the baked goods shine, the coffee is fairly standard. Still, it’s a worthy sidekick to these stellar treats.nnFlawless flavors keep us coming back. We’ll definitely be working our way through the entire menu!
Besting is my favorite. Wish had more cream as before, but the price hasn't much go up. Fair enough.nLove to visit sometime. Nice and bread selection and . Quite busy. Better to take out. Can't really easy to chat with friend. :
Heard so much about this bakery we had to come try. The kids LOVED the iced choc and the ham and cheese croissant. I brought a new friend here too she loved the bakes. I also bought some small sweet treats to go n they were marvellous.
