I ordered the Fried Chicken Waffle, and it was one of the most memorable dishes I’ve had in Christchurch. The crispy, slightly spicy fried chicken paired perfectly with the sweet waffle, creating a combination that was surprisingly addictive.nnThe café itself is spacious, with plenty of seating, making it a great place to relax with friends or enjoy a leisurely brunch. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.nnIf you’re visiting, I’d definitely recommend trying the Fried Chicken Waffle. It’s a unique sweet-and-savory combination that’s well worth ordering.

Super busy and should definitely book. Food was excellent and staff lovely. Will go again. The Scambled eggs with added fried chicken on sourdough. Fantastic at $24 total and was so good

Great cafe! They have nice range of foods and drinks - both of which are great quality. Got the chicken on waffles which had some of the most crispy chicken and soft waffles and the real chocolate hot chocolate which was just as good as it sounds. Highly recommended!

Coffee was a bit disappointing but food was great. Fried chicken waffles were really nice, waffles were crispy with a soft inside, fried chicken paired well with the chilli maple sauce and sesame. Matcha nutella french toast was good too. We were dining in but they gave our drinks in plastic cups. Iced vanilla latte was way too sweet. Coconut espresso was kind of odd, tasted sour so maybe the coconut water was off? Drinks were both close to $9 so expected more.

We had a great brunch at Strange Bandit! We ordered the Eggs Your Way, Strange Bandit Vegetarian Breakfast, & Strange Bandit Eggs Benedict. Everything was delicious & filling. I particularly appreciated the variety on the Vegetarian Breakfast. It's nice when cafes provide proper veggie options.nnThe espresso drinks were also great; the association with Luciano Marcolino is more than a marketing gimmick. The Real Chocolate Hot Mochaccino is one of the best mochas I've had in New Zealand.nnThe service was friendly & satisfactory, and the vibes are immaculate!
