Affogato Cafe

It was a freezing day but as soon as I walked into the cafe, it felt just like coming home. Really cozy vibe and the staff were all super warm and welcoming.nThe coffee was great and the salmon smash was really tasty as well.nAll the desserts looked so good too! I will be back to try some

The chef special of Shakshuka was one of the best meals I’ve had in all of New Zealand. French toast was excellent. As were the flat whites. Staff was friendly and helpful. Dining room was clean, warm and inviting. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. You will not be disappointed.

Edit: 5 stars again! We came back again after a few months and didn’t disappoint us! Beef cheeks were delicious, tender and juicy, cooked perfectly. Service was as great as the first time as well.nnDelicious food, great coffee and nice staff!nnWe went for lunch as it was close to our hostel and we were not left disappointed. I had the salmon smash which was delicious and one of the best meals I’ve had so far in New Zealand. The coffee and service were great too.nnI would totally recommend this cafe when visiting Christchurch!

I came in to get the excellent Eggs Benedict, which i enjoyed yesterday... but chose the smashed avocado instead.nWow. Sensational.nReview 2... The braised beef cheek is off the handle, too! Taste. Tenderness. Presentation. Unreal.

Coming here everyday for almost two weeks and everything is just good. Service is very kind, good choice in food there are different baguette variations every day, good coffee, good cake, nice ambiente and prices r good. I can just recommend this café!
