Very positive first experience!nnWe have been wanting to visit Affogato Cafe for a while now - we made it on Saturday 4 May 2024 finally.nnExcellent location, welcoming atmosphere, good street views, good food and friendly service- all combined to provide us with a wonderful first experience.nnWe had the Avo Smash. They agreed to substitute the poached egg with fried egg. The wait time was reasonable; when the food arrived - it looked very appealing.nnThe portion size was good and the food was tasty and satisfying.nnWe will be happy to come again.nnWe used a GrabOne voucher- $15 for $30 value which made the experience economical too. 2 satisfying meals for a total spend of $30!nnI hope they put up more vegetarian options on their menu, although the vegetarian meal we had was perfect. The toasted nuts they used in the dish were superb!
Really neat corner street cafe in a great location on the corner of two main streets and very close to bus stop.nIt is a popular cafe and can get pretty busy. There is sufficient seating inside and outside, so if the weather is nice, enjoy a breakfast or brunch outdoors.nThe service is great and staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is quite nice.nThe food is delicious and the cafe has a good variety on its menu along with daily specials.nThe coffees are really nicely made and well balanced. You can get your cappuccino, latte, mocha, or any of the regular style coffees.nThe prices are moderate, so it’s not too expensive.nI would recommend a visit to this nice corner cafe for a nice breakfast with coffee.
The food and the coffee were on point!! The eggs Benedict was amazing, the cinnamon French toast was incredibly sweet, but so delicious. The staff were genuinely lovely.
Found this café while staying in Christchurch and so glad we did, food and coffee were great with friendly service.nHad the Mushrooms pan fried in a creamy thyme sauce served on toasted ciabatta with bacon, the mushrooms in the sauce worked perfectly for me, extremely tasty.nHighly recommended.
It is an absolute gem! I ordered Coconut Latte and Eggs Benedict. The coffee here is top-notch, and their food is a delightful treat. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The cafe's cozy ambiance makes it a perfect spot for both a quick coffee stop or a leisurely afternoon. I highly recommend Affogato Cafe to anyone looking for a great coffee and a welcoming environment in Christchurch.
