I’ve eaten here a couple of times now and the cafe is usually quite busy. Despite so, the place is spacious enough with window and outdoor seats and staff always try to provide prompt service.nnI’d rate the food 3.5-4 out of 5 - although it’s not mind blowing, they consistently serve above average food and coffee. Plus, food is always well presented. It’s just alittle pricey for me to visit more often.nnOverall, it’s a lovely brunch place.
Friendly service. Quirky atmosphere.nnFood was not terribly impressive.n- The Pulled Pork Tacos were the standout, very delicious.n- The Mushrooms were rather tasteless, the addition of the seaweed as a garnish was odd. But the poached egg was cooked to perfection.n- The Berry smoothie was delicious, tart but flavourful.n- The Banana smoothie was sweet and delicious.n- The Passionfruit and white chocolate slice tasted like neither passionfruit nor white chocolate. Although bland, it was light and fluffy.n- The Chocolate cheesecake slice was also bland, tasted more like a budget brownie lacking flavour.n- Flat white was on the burnt side, not a tasty drink considering this place is meant to be known for its coffee.nnTwo toilets available, neither of which are wheelchair friendly.nnDog friendly outside with water bowls available.nnLimited parking around the back.
Ordering took quite a long time but the cleaning up while we got seated and delivery of coffee and food was pretty prompt considering how busy they were. I like the addition of the shop area with the books and trade aid stuff.
So we search Google and review sites and we look for quirky places while on holidays to make memories.nWell there’s a reason these guys have 2000 plus great reviews. It’s worth visiting. Tasty food, great coffee and an a I don’t want to leave fun atmosphere. Just visit.
Really big space. Best french toast I’ve ever had and I’ve had heaps. The high didn’t last for long as the lamb sausage roll was extremely dry and hard. Couldn’t cut through it and biting it was leathery. Drinks were all fine and at the right temperature. Service and atmosphere were just fine, it’s quite dark. Lots of other chch cafes I’ll be heading to next time before returning here.
