As you can tell this was the favourite cafe in CHCH for my group and me. We visited numerous times on seperate occasions and not once did Unknown disappoint.nnThe service was welcoming and nice. The European I hope I guessed correctly waitress with darkish brown hair was beautiful. She greeted us every single time with a smile. She was attentive and served every one with calmness and gentleness. It was lovely to see.nnThe coffee was amazing. So smooth and creamy and strong.nnThe food was DELICIOUS. My friend commented that the burrito was a bit plain in terms of the combination of flavours. The halloumi salad & Thai chicken roll were definitely the favourites for me. I appreciated that we were allowed to swap items from the dishes too, thank you. & the cabinet food is insane. Definitely catches the eye.nnAll in all, we will be back next time we’re in Christchurch.

A 5+ experience, while spending time at this establishment, I noticed celebrities dining here, and it was so busy the both days that I ate here.nThe staff were excellent and kind especially the staff member who worked Labour Weekend and seated us we like to thank her

First time going here and did not disappoint. Coffee was great. Cabinet food was very nice and so was the classic breakfast from the menu. Everything was so rich & had so much flavour. Service was extremely fast.nWill definitely be returning here.

I went early Sunday morning and the place was really busy. It was incredibly loud inside. I wish they had more separate seating outside rather than large tables, especially if theres only yourself or 1 other person. The eggs Benedict was average. Not much flavour or seasoning but it wasn’t bad. Fast service! I assume they provide service based off a description of customers as they don’t give/request which table you’ll be seated at. Nothing really worth coming back for. Just an average cafe. I couldn’t even remember the name, i just knew it was by little high eatery.

Update for this year 2024nBrought the kids back to have lunch and this place did not disappoint. Food is great. Coffee is great. No complaints. To be better, to be better than what we picture ourselves can achieve. I fortuitously find myself in a lovely perfect space.nnThe coffee was great, right temp, right taste . As it was later in the day, I got myself a chicken feta cashew filo. It's one of the yummiest I had so far. I'm impressed by the quality of the ingredients and price. Great balance going. nnThe place was packed, so it was hard to get pictures with empty seats. Did managed some what.nnSo overall. 5 Stars for us. Usually cafes are often visited in transit. This is one Cafe that will be on our list of destination.nWell done crew.
