The Origin

Seriously can’t recommend The Origin enough, it’s truly exceptional.nnThese were some of the best vegan breakfast dishes we’ve ever tried. The presentation of the food was better than most restaurants, the taste was amazing and portion sizes were nnI wish I could give the service 10 stars. Very professional and polite. Every other cafe could learn a thing or two from The Origin.nnThe space itself is modern, bright and clean atmosphere. Perfect for a Sunday brunch or a coffee.nnWill 100% be back when visiting Christchurch

We went here only once, during our quest to try all 100% vegan spots in Christchurch, but definitely not because of the food or coffee quality. In fact, the breakfast we had, Pancakes and Big Brekky was absolutely delicious. The coffee was flawless, too! I wish we would have had more time to try the asian dishes, as well. Next time!:

Such a beautiful, tidy, and neat vegan coffee shop. Silky smooth coffee and delicious cinnamon scroll! Very calm and relaxing vibe.

Such an interesting place. Everything is good except the food. Food looks amazing but tasted…not even mid? The pancake had only 1 taste; too sweet. The matcha banana shake was like mushy bananas only…Such a shame, cause the staff members are very nice, the place has a very calming atmosphere and design. Hopefully they will create new menu or change the recipes.

Love this cafe, so beautiful with the scandi decor and very calming inside unlike so many hectic loud cares around Christchurch. Coffee is delicious!
