Village the worst of the franchise theatres?nHaving frequented Hoyts and Reading a lot recently since my last visit to Village it was such a disappointment.nThe seats were old, no reclining whatsoever, barely any padding almost like sitting in a plastic chair, and some had rips in them.nThe sound was either mixed poorly or the speakers of Cinema 5 can’t handle the audio as it was muffled in bass moments and whiny in pitchy moments.nThe choc top was powdery and had a bizarre texture I’ve never experienced before.nBack to Reading to spend much less on a ticket for a supreme comfort seat!
Movie theatres are good but the new kitchen food that they changed not long ago to cut cost I presume is unacceptable for a VPremium experience.nnWe will no longer be eating anything at the movies we will go eat prior to movie night it’s a shame because the food was good their prior.
Gold Class here is great. The lounge is a lovely place to relax with a glass of wine before you go to your seats. Went to see a movie in good class. The staff are too busy talking to each other to take notice of guest. They didn’t take our order correctly so we ended up missing out on some of our food in the cinema. Also the food is rubbish eat before you go. Very very poor service from the team at village gold class. For the money you pay you should get a better service. Very disappointed.
My dad bought gold class tickets to the king du panda 4 movie a rarity as we don't see each other often, and we were really surprised by the lack of effort put in. The theaters were clean and such, but the service was where we were disappointed. We were given drinks in a timely manner around 5 minutes into the movie, but after requesting the popcorn we paid for twice, we were only given it an hour into the movie in a 1 hr and 34 minute movie. There wasn't any signage to signal that gold class tickets holder needed to go to a separate section for popcorn and drinks, and even when we got to the front, we werent allowed to buy anything down there, instead directed to the top. If we were allowed to just buy the food and drink at the bottom, everything would've been fine. It was honestly just annoying, for the Price we paid for both the movie and the food/drinks, and that this is the quality service that we can expect for spending nearly 200 dollars on gold class tickets and snacks.
