Booked tickets for Gold Class and we were actively ignored us when trying to order drinks and when we did eventually order and pay for them after 20 minutes we waited another 30 and then called staff over to sort it out and then another staff member came and made it.nThis is combined with the issue of food being scheduled to come 15 minutes into the movie but never showing until again calling upon staff to ask for it.
It's not worth chancing a visit anymore. Especially for the money you pay. Unless you have a no kids policy for gold class I wouldn't subject myself to that again.nMost kids can't sit still and I dont blame them; some parents over estimate their kids attention span and manners.nAt the end of the day youre in a public place watching a big tv, and as much as I wanted to belt the kids next to me, I had to remind myself that they're just kids and the parents that drag these kids to movies they dont even want to watch, are the ones that need a spanking.
The venue great but the service not so great. Ordered food for 6:15pm and at 6:45pm pressed buzzer as no food had arrived. No one came to us so after 15 minutes went out to foyer to find a staff member. Part of our food ordered arrived 7:30pm and at 8:15pm I was back out in foyer asking where the rest was. When we left the cinema we spoke to the Manager not Manager material as asked for a credit back to our card for food we didn’t receive, which we got after him fumbling around. I believe understaffed and poorly trained. They simply had no idea what had gone wrong.
3D classes sold in snacks bar and you got to wait the whole line to collect your glasses .!! Guess what they are not part of movie tickets. Expect to pay a dollar for it.. factor 10-20 mins time to collect those damn glasses and not miss the part of movies..!! Sad and pathetic
We were given a very generous gift which included tickets in Gold Class and a food package. The service and assistance was 5 star from the moment we were seen at the check in bar to meeting the Manager Ang in the Gold Class area. Seating was very comfortable and the food was very tasty. We had a very enjoyable afternoon and the film chosen Downton Abbey was a great film to watch on the big screen. Thank you to all the staff at Doncaster Village Cinema.
