Came here for the eclat premiere of the Amateur with wifey. A beautiful Retro cinema with a great atmosphere. Would benefit from recliners for those with bad backs like myself, but overall it was great.
Absolutely loved this cinema! Watched Fantastic Four in the Standard cinema Cinema 1, and the architecture fit the film’s aesthetic so well!
My friend and I came to watch a movie last night. The cinema people forgot about us and didn’t turn the lights off when the movie started. We sat there for 5 minutes not being able to see the screen due to the lights being on. I went all the way downstairs to ask for the lights to be turned off. The worker who helped me barely apologised. We missed out on the first 10 minutes of the movie and not that I’m complaining because I want anything but we weren’t even offered a free drink or a proper apology for the massive inconvenience.nnI emailed village and the response was just excuses lol. Could have maybe offered a movie voucher for next time or something since they ruined this movie for us lol. We will not be returning to this cinema again.nnShould have never strayed away from independent cinemas, something this dumb would not happen there.
Well worth a visitnNo over the top sound system and nice seatingnVery retro
Recent visit was not Gold Class. The velour seats are very old with clunky mechanism and you can feel that the cushions in the seat are no longer supportive. My seat was dirty with food/drink stains and was later informed that they did not have a key ingredient for a cocktail I ordered. I passed on this feedback in writing to Village but you know they will not do much about it except for passing on my feedback to the right area? the building is lovely but $50 Gold Class at Rivoli is not does not deliver the experience that Village promises.
