No one at the entrance to greet you or scan tickets, which felt a bit strange. Walking into Cinema 7, I was hit with a smell that can only be described as a mix of horse manure and children’s farts. Not exactly the popcorn aroma you hope for.nnThe movie itself was great and definitely saved the experience. However, the toilet paper was one-ply, which felt like a personal attack.nnOverall: weird atmosphere, questionable smells, excellent movie.
D-Box at Hoyts was awesome. A few quick tips. No, you won't get thrown across the cinema. Yes you can eat and drink in there. No, you don't need to hold on to both sides of the chair to stop falling out. Yes, the popcorn was great.
Cinema itself was comfortable. However, lucky I had come in while it was light as there was melted chocolate on my seat & I had to get wet loo paper from the toilet to clean it myself, otherwise would have had that over my pants. Also, disappointed that the person in charge of the screening obviously pays no attention as the projector must have been dirty as there was dark spots on the screen throughout the movie. Pretty lazy stuff to dampen the experience.
The sands keep shifting, or should I say the chairs! The choices are many now from almost day beds to what used to be Gold Class seats. Either way, they are all good to me. Makes the entire experience worth it.nWent to see Deadpool & Wolverine on a Wednesday night 6.30pm opening night. Probably 40 people in the cast space and most of us were together, knowing the best seats to choose.nYou can order your tickets online or at the machines at the front of the theatre or at the counter - again, more choices. We know the price of food and drinks is over inflated so everyone just needs to get a grip about that. Although a Ben and Jerry’s at the entrance is enticing.nMore importantly, the theatre is clean and toilets were immaculate.nMost of all, the staff most accommodating. We’d booked tickets for 2 but a 3rd person wanted to join us so they shuffled our seats so we could sit together. Nice and thank you.nWe will return.
Rarely go to the movies but decided to go and see the Michael movie.nHad reserved recliner seats, but when arriving in the cinema 2 children were in our seats.nLuckily there were other seats available.nThe children spoke and made noise throughout the movie and were on the phone speakerphone at one stage.nThey finally left the cinema about 20 minutes before the movie finished.nReally distracting and disappointing experience. nOn the plus side cinema was clean and recliners were really comfy
