The best experience I have had in a long time! Very cute hide away based within a massive city! Also for people complaining about this place….. let’s not ruin the last remaining memories of the past. Pot holes can be driven around easily, staff look after you and if someone has their lights on just ask them to turn it off!
A piece of history that brings joy to many of us. Every single time we come to Coburg drive ins it’s fairly busy with couples, families and groups of friends of all ages. It’s a place where time stands still and all ages are able to come and enjoy watching movies the way they did in the 50s. My grandmother tells me all the time how great it was back in the day when they used to play Elvis on the big screen and it makes me so happy we get to enjoy the drive ins in our time and I can’t wait for my kids to be old enough and enjoy it too. So instead of going to your ordinary indoors cinema, the drive ins will bring you so much joy from getting all of your favourite treats at the diner and then jumping in the boot of your car in your pjs. So glad Village has kept this slice of history for all to enjoy instead of another company turning it into another unnecessary development site.
Best experience for all agesnWould recommend arriving 1 hour early if you want to grab a bite to eat or relax a bit before you settle in for movie night.nnCombos I thought were reasonably priced, considering its Village.nThe food was nice, but i felt it was overpriced.nI had a cheeseburger, child had nuggets, which came with chips, sisters had hotdogs, + chips *pay separately..nTook photos of the menu.nNice little area to sit inside diner to eat.nnPlayground.nDog friendly.nnTip- Buy tickets online as tickets were sold out at ticket booth, unfortunately causing one of my fams carload to turn back and go home no other movie was playing at the time.nn**Also it's 2 cars per space,so be courteous to others and move over, I saw alot of cars trying to find a spot because a few cars were taking up 1 whole space even though you get told by security that's it 2cars per space.nn***Also feel free to take your own hot food and snacks in to save money.
This place is as fun as you want it to be... The facilities are definitely showing their age but where else can you go to a drive-in these days ? We bought our own snacks and wine as the diner didn't seem to be very inspiring.. Dog friendly too!
First time experiencing a Drive IN theatre. It was a great experiencenGood for 2 people in a carnSo this is how it works - Once we are near the entry, they give us a radio station frequency to tune in. The audio for the Movie is broadcasted in that channel.nIt will be hard during bad weather or when it’s sunny but definitely a MUST GO
