Such a happy experience to see Avatar 2 here! And in 3D too. Great big giant comfy chairs. Lots of space for each of us. I'm tall but didn't feel cramped at all. I have nothing bad to say about the picture or audio quality. Everything was perfect. I'm glad we went here : I would be happy to recommend Hoyts and I would be very happy to go again, considering the nice experience we had there together : Hopefully we can all go again soon
I have had no problems with the staff since I have been going here. The movie seats are very comfortable and can be reclined in various ways for comfort. I enjoy coming here when the latest movies are out. There have been no problems so far.
I have never had a problem at this cinema. Definitely worth your time!! Seats are very comfortable and customer service is amazing. The popcorn was a bit cold though
There's no competition. Their screens, sounds and comfort. Amazing! Update; Unbelievable service too. Had a fair muck up with a booking etc. Management thought outside the box and rectified instantly. Legend!
The best, most comfortable recliner seats you will find in a standard cinema! Staff are very friendly too. Our go to cinema, and there's a meal deal with Grill'd which is very nice.
This is like my second home. I really enjoy seeing movies in enormous screens with state-of-the-art sound systems and now the seats are upgraded, sublime!
Staff are amazing & so is the cinema itself except last night was the third time in a row that the movie has been ruined by a screaming child with stupid parents. Please for the love of god introduce adult only sessions, especially for late sessions & for movies that aren’t for kids.
Had quite an unfortunate experience, which was extremely disappointing as I do love this cinema. Went to the 6pm session of don’t worry darling 03/11, and an older gentleman and his wife were speaking very loudly throughout the first 20 minutes. After telling them to be quite twice they still did not stop, so we ended up complaining twice within 10 minutes. And not once did the staff do anything to stop this couple. We weren’t expecting them to be kicked out, simply just expected someone to speak to them about how disruptive they were being. Instead we ended up leaving half an hour in as it was to distracting and we were unable to focus, so we basically missed the start of the movie. We were fortunate enough to get a refund but one of the employees Marcus, I believe his name was did proceed to tell us they had been in the cinema 5 times and didn’t hear him speak once, it honestly felt like they were accusing us of lying. Unlike my friend I was attending this session with, I had already seen this movie on release date, so I obviously enjoyed the movie or else I wouldn’t be coming back to see it again or recommending it to everyone I know, we had no reason to lie and complain about another customer. I did leave quite offended and upset with how the situation was handled. Very unprofessional
I really don’t know what Hoyts is doing. Quality of the films and the new seats in the cinemas are wonderful, never had any complaints about this, HOWEVER, the quality of food have declined incredibly since they had their huge renovation which utilises a self-serve selection style. I haven’t had hot popcorn at this cinema for years and the prices they are willing to charge are absolutely absurd. I get that Hoyts make most of their money off of the snacks area, it’s always been a well-known fact that you’ll blow heaps of money on food at the movies, but at least you had fresh popcorn and a friendly staff member to talk to. Staff members now just seem like they would rather be anywhere else than at the register and there is nothing welcoming about the new layout. This has bothered me for ages and I know my review will probably do nothing but it’s just so disappointing. I used to love going to the movies but now it feels uncomfortable and awkward to get to my seat and I no longer have the excitement for my popcorn! I know I’ve mentioned popcorn a lot but it’s literally the best part and it’s ruined!! Only come to this Hoyts if you buy snacks beforehand, there’s a great candy store near the entrance that sells fresh hot popcorn for a fraction of Hoyts’ stale cold stuff. So upsetting.
If only they remembered to turn the lights off.... In a commendable attempt to woe audiences back from the convenience of online streaming platforms, Hoyts Highpoint have taken great pains to create a visceral experience for the modern movie goer. They have spent a fortune on push button reclining seats, shelled out for a liquor license, provided huge EXTREME screens, and a body shaking sound system. It promises to be a multi million dollar cinematic experience! And...it very nearly was! If only the half witted cleaning team had remembered to turn off the retina piercing spotlights after they finished their job. If only the shift manager had checked the status of the auditorium before the commencement of the movie. If only the person that pressed go on the projector looked up from their social media feeds? If only this was the first time it had happened.... this is now a regular occurrence at Hoyts Highpoint. Don't bother to ask for your money back - you'll only be met by a rude dead-head-GenZed who thinks working for a wage is an antiquated non-validating paradigm. A word of warning - if you walk into cinema 6 and you are greeted by spotlights, walk straight back out and down to the rude little individual managing the sticky mess that is the self selection food area aka kid's playpen, and tell them TO TURN OFF THE CLEANING LIGHTS!
