More like 4.5 stars.nnThe only screen in Melbourne that has 4DX on offer.nnPaid parking available, however, if you can, there is parking near the train station which is about 5 Min of walk. Up to 3 hours of free parking available.nnJust like all other village cinemas, there are arcade games, and snacks available for purchase at the entrance.nnThe Century Mall has Strike and other eateries available.
I’ve only been here for the 4DX experience. For anyone who is planning to see Sonic The Hedgehog 3, 4DX is definitely the best way to experience the movie. I personally think that Sonic 3 is perfect movie for 4DX cinemas. High speed battles and effects work extremely well for the 4DX format, the fast movements of the chair, the wind, water splash and rain effects all work to create an extremely immersive experience. The crowd loved it!nnPlus, this is the only 4DX cinema in Melbourne. So don’t miss your chance to experience it.nnThe cinema is still extremely clean and well maintained by the staff.

My partner and I went to our first ever Gold Class session with this Village Cinemas on valentines day. While the night started well and the staff were super nice, unfortunately, the start was the best part of the experience.nOur first food item was supposed to be brought out towards the start of the movie, and we didn't receive it until almost the middle. Then the food that we ordered for the middle of the movie never came at all, with no word from any staff member as to where our dinner that we had paid for was.nAs we walked out of the movie, staff were waiting and expecting that we would be coming out to request a refund, which was promptly given.nOverall, this experience has ruined our first and probably now only Gold Class experience. Some communication would have gone a long way to having improved our experience, which did not seem like would have come at all had I not asked what went wrong. Furthermore, it was disheartening that another couple who also required a refund were offered vouchers to attend another session for free, while that offer was not extended to us.nOverall a very disappointing experience that could have been improved a lot by some communication as the staff found out that they would not be able to fulfil what I had paid for.
Hold on tight and buckle up! The 4DX experience at Village Cinemas in Century City is a roller-coaster of sensory overload. Let me break it down:nn The 4DX Experience: This isn't your grandma's cinema experience. The 4DX was intense—like being on a roller coaster, complete with water sprays. Imagine holding onto your popcorn for dear life as your seat shakes and jolts you around. It's a fun twist, but be prepared—it's much more intense than you might expect. My girlfriend and I got a good laugh from the water sprays, although the theatrics can be a bit distracting from the movie itself.nn Candy Bar and Amenities: Expensive but good quality. You pay for what you get and the service was exceptional. The cinema has a dated charm but is immaculately maintained. Everything from the corridors to the restrooms was spotless.nn Parking: Here's where it hurts. The parking situation isn't ideal and added some unnecessary stress to our outing. Not really the cinema's fault, but it's part of the overall experience.nn Overall: If you're looking for a movie experience that engages all your senses, this is it. It's the only cinema offering 4DX and for that alone, it's worth the drive. Will it replace traditional cinema for me? No. But is it a wild ride that I can highly recommend? Absolutely.nnWe'll definitely be back for more.
